Everyone knows that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the most important oil and fossils prod... more Everyone knows that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the most important oil and fossils producers and exporting country in the world, for the OPEC Annual Statistic Bulletin 2020. But what happens if the country of oil production, adopting the Vision 2030 launched by the Royal Family in 2016, decides to make an energy transition in the renewables? Surely there will be a change in the global economic equilibrium moved by the production and the use of oil and, from a geopolitical point of view, how Khashoggi’s case has changed the view of the importing countries towards the KSA and what are the prospects for the next future.

Questa tesi vuole analizzare il Club del Coccodrillo e il suo percorso dalle origini fino alle im... more Questa tesi vuole analizzare il Club del Coccodrillo e il suo percorso dalle origini fino alle implicazioni odierne. La digitalizzazione della raccolta che porta il suo nome, ossia la rivista dell’intergruppo parlamentare europeo fondato da Altiero Spinelli nel 1980, e la sua acquisizione da parte dell’Università degli Studi Roma Tre, ha dato lo spunto e la possibilità di approfondire l’argomento direttamente sui documenti originali dei federalisti. Per comprendere il ruolo del gruppo all’interno delle istituzioni e della politica europee, e nell’ambito della storia dell’integrazione europea, l’elaborato parte dal contesto storico tra la fine degli anni ’60 e metà degli anni ’70; continua con gli anni ’80, periodo centrale per sviluppare questo argomento; e termina con una comparazione odierna con lo Spinelli Group, la crisi derivante dal Covid-19 e la conseguente approvazione del Recovery Fund. Proprio il cambio di scenario di questo ultimo anno ci ha sicuramente costretti a ripensare all’Europa in una versione migliore: in una prospettiva storica, un ragionamento simile lo effettuò Spinelli, rielaborando le sue idee sulla federazione europea alla luce dei Trattati di Roma del 1957 e muovendo un’azione volta alla realizzazione di una vera e propria Unione Europea.

In a World where conflicts are increasing and hunger is used as a weapon, how is it possible to d... more In a World where conflicts are increasing and hunger is used as a weapon, how is it possible to deal with this issue? In this paper the analysis starts from the situation defined in the MENA region after the Arab Spring and how it is developed during the time. After that, the comparison between the Syrian Arab Republic, Yemen and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is necessary to understand how concretely the situation in that specific place is. At the end, the solution proposed is that for eliminating hunger, we should stop doing conflicts but, as soon as the latest events in Middle East told us, this seems impossible.

But what happens when climate change is added as a risk factor to armed conflicts. What is the link that connects these two themes apparently different such as similar? The ICRC Statement to UN Security Council was on ""Addressing the impacts of climate-related disasters on international peace and security". At the end of the paper, we will assume that peace is an important condition for better improving the situation of civilians and the environment.
