Through a comprehensive analysis of institutional challenges, procedural shortcomings, and their consequences, the study highlights the urgent need to address these gaps. The research explores the legal framework governing criminal investigation in Bangladesh and identifies gaps and ambiguities within the existing laws. It further investigates the institutional challenges faced by law enforcement agencies, including issues of capacity, independence, coordination, and cooperation. The procedural shortcomings discussed encompass crime scene management, evidence collection and preservation, forensic analysis, witness protection, and the use of technology in investigations. The implications of these loopholes are explored in terms of impunity, delayed justice, human rights violations, and public confidence in the criminal justice system. Additionally, the paper offers recommendations for addressing the identified loopholes, including legal reforms, strengthening institutional capacity, enhancing training and professional development, embracing technological advancements, implementing witness protection measures, and promoting transparency and accountability. Under the provisions of the act, security agencies possess an extensive range of powers, including but not limited to preventive detention, surveillance, search and seizure without warrant, and restrictions on movement and assembly. These powers, while undoubtedly granting the government the means to swiftly respond to threats, have evoked concerns from civil rights organizations and activists who argue that they potentially infringe upon the rights of individuals and impede due process. Having so many loopholes, the act is criticized by many scholars. This paper showed the primary features of the Act and its loopholes. Also suggested some recommendation for it.

As they are physically and sometimes mentally different from the mainstream people, they are not well accepted by the society and don’t get the proper treatment. That make them vulnerable to victimization. They experience victimization in every sector of life. First of all, they get abandoned by the family or discrimination in the family. The society reject them. They don’t get proper education. As a result, most of them are not aware of their rights. They also face problems regarding employment. Because of that, most of them have to choose the way of begging as their livelihood. Third gender also face difficulties in accessing proper healthcare. They don’t get the equal treatment as the mainstream people in the medical centres. As they live in highly deviant places, they are exposed to criminal activities more often. They are also an easy target for the criminals as there is no one to care for them. Transgender people in Bangladesh are targeted by the human traffickers and often forced to work as a prostitute. They become the victim of discrimination and also as a vulnerable target of any criminal activities. They as a result are always in fear of getting victimized. But unfortunately, they are afraid to share their problems as they fear that they won’t be heard. But this should change. The government is making law to support the third gender. The mainstream people should also come forward to help the third genders in gaining their recognition in the society. This study aims to find out the victimization experiences of the third genders and also to provide some protective measures to support them.

Similar to other regions of the world, domestic violence has been a significant issue in Bangladesh that has an impact on the lives of several women in both the urban and rural areas. Today, domestic violence is
reported by 50 to 70 percent of women in Bangladesh, which has one of the highest rates of violence against women in the world. Physical, sexual, economic, and psychological abuse are the four main types of domestic violence in Bangladesh. However, it is believed that the primary causes encouraging domestic violence in the nation are the patriarchal social structure, the culture of acceptance, and the widespread practice of community violence. The current institutional and legal safeguards for victims' rights frequently appear ineffective and broken. Following the severity of the phenomenon, the stakeholders must implement a number of short, medium, and long-term actions to end domestic violence in Bangladesh. The study was conducted to show the consequences of domestic violence in Bangladesh and the causes behind it. Some possible measurements also suggested to prevent this problem from our country.
