Diharapkan manfaat dari pengguna media akan meningkatkan pengetahuan penggunaan media. Di sisi lain, kelemahan penggunaan media diharapkan dapat dikurangi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan Google classroom sebagai media teknologi pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa untuk English for specific purpose (ESP). Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) merupakan teknik yang digunakan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Google Classroom bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran dalam pembelajaran ESP. Keuntungan menggunakan media ini dalam proses pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan pemahaman membaca dibahas dalam penelitian ini. Ini memiliki batasan waktu yang fleksibel, selalu dapat diakses, dan menggunakan metodologi pembelajaran yang lebih mutakhir (berbasis e-learning). This study applied the qualitative research. This study was carried out at Universitas Bosowa students and lecturers. Results of study showed that character education is implemented pasca Covid-19 epidemic utilizing a distance learning approach (online), which was internet-based. The incorporation of character education based on online learning has an impact on attributes like religiosity, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creativity, independence, democracy, curiosity, national spirit, peace-loving, social obligation, and responsibility. Character education based on online learning can have an impact on how children develop their moral beliefs, integrity, critical thinking, independence, participation in other activities, and responsibility. The study focused on the use of substitution drill technique to improve the EFL students' mastery... more The study focused on the use of substitution drill technique to improve the EFL students' mastery of tenses-simple present and past tense-which were most of students still got into trouble in learning them, particularly when to put of verb-s/es, verb 1, verb 2 and also the auxiliary verb such as do, does and did. Therefore, this study is an endeavor to examine effectiveness of applying the substitution drill to enhance the junior high-school students' mastery of tenses. This study applied pre-experimental design employing one group pretest and posttest. The participants consisted of 27 the third-grade students' SMP Ammana Gappa Makassar, South Sulawesi. The researcher used t-test analysis to find out whether or not the use of substitution drill can improve the students' mastery of tenses. The result of the study indicated that there were differences between students' achievement of tenses mastery in pretest and posttest. It was proved by the value of t-test was greater than the value of t-table (22.24>2.056) with the level of significance (P) = 0, 05 and degree of freedom (N-1) = 26. The mean score of the posttest (71.62) was higher than the mean score of pretest (52.44). It may conclude that the implementation of the substitution drill as a teaching technique of tenses in SMP Amanna Gappa could improve the student's mastery of the tenses.

This study aimed to identify the mangrove species present, the crustacean and molluscan macrozoobenthos associated with the mangrove ecosystem, and to evaluate the level of stability of the mangrove ecosystem for the development of edu-tourism activities at the study site employing a Macrozoobenthos Ecological Index. Data on mangrove, macrozoobenthos, and other environmental parameters, were collected at five stations with three replicates per station. Mangrove data was collected within 10 m × 10 m plots, while macrozoobenthos were collected with a shovel and sieve net. Seven mangrove species were found: Avicennia marina, Bruguiera gymnorhiza, Ceriops decandra, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora stylosa, and Sonneratia alba. This study investigates the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach ... more This study investigates the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach in enhancing Indonesian EFL secondary learners’ narrative writing skills and the perception of Indonesian EFL secondary schools toward applying the CTL approach. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with fifty-two eleventh-grade students as participants. The participants were divided into two groups; An experimental group received the CTL approach, and a control group received the conventional way. This study utilized a pre-posttest and perceptional questionnaire. Nonparametric tests (i.e., Mann-Whitney U test and Wilcoxon test) were run to analyze the data in this study. The Man-Whitney U test indicated a significant difference between the mean score for the experimental group with the CTL approach and the control group without the CTL approach (9.86 > 10.12). The purpose of this research is to improve students speaking skill of UKI Paulus Makassar through the implementation English for Specific Purposes (ESP). This study used Classroom Action Research (CAR) namely (1) planning, (2) actions, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. For the purpose of the topic, 35 students were selected as the subject. Research method was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with Kemmis and Taggart model. It was conducted for about two cycles namely cycle I and cycle II. According to the results of speaking test, findings showed that the implementation English for Specific Purposes (ESP) in teaching had positive meaningful effect on improving students’ speaking skill after being obtained test results both cycle 1 and cycle II in Economic and Business students of UKI Paulus Makassar
