The purpose of this research was to know the agukng magicity in Balala' ritual of Dayak Kanay... more The purpose of this research was to know the agukng magicity in Balala' ritual of Dayak Kanayatnese. Agukng in Balala' ritual have rhythm elements, mean and value, and could be seen in symbolic mean. The method for research agukng in Balala’ ritual was qualitative form.The source of data collection were agukng sound and the attitude of Balala' ritual practicioner and submitted with observation technique, interviews, and documentary study. The research findings showed that Balala' ritual have rhythm elements, which were beat and accent that summarized in one rhythm pattern. From symbolic mean, agukng showed bravery symbol, hope, and happiness for the success of Balala' ritual. Agukng in Balala' ritual or lockdown was implemented to resist or prevent pandemic virus COVID19 or known as Corona virus that functioned as connecting communication media between people and Awa Pama or ancestor. The research method used 4D Thiagarajan research and development with stages of define, design, development, and dissemination. The subjects and research time of students in semesters 3-5 and will be held from July to September 2022. Data collection techniques use questionnaires and interviews. Self-confidence problems can occur in humans, including beginner pianists, which results in a dec... more Self-confidence problems can occur in humans, including beginner pianists, which results in a decrease in piano playing. Cognitive restructuring was the target in this study which was analyzed as an increase in self- confidence in beginner pianists at La Music Course Pontianak. The research method used was qualitative with a content analysis approach. The presence of researchers was carried out based on direct observation, data collection, and analysis. The research subjects were piano course students aged 13-17 years totaling five people at La Music Course music institution. Data collection techniques used observation and in-depth interviews with the five beginner pianists to be analyzed based on domain, taxonomy, componential, cultural themes, and constant comparison. Data validity checking uses source triangulation by taking experts in the field of counseling and music. The results found that restructuring is acceptable and used and has the quality to increase self-confidence in beginner pianists at La Music Course Pontianak music institute.

Phenomenological studies try to examine use of musical instruments from waste used in Problem Bas... more Phenomenological studies try to examine use of musical instruments from waste used in Problem Based Learning and ADDIE learning models. Purpose of this study is to reveal based on the experience of the waste phenomenon that occurs in Indonesia with its increase can be overcome by one of them is a musical instrument product from used glass bottles so that saron musical instruments are formed. Research method used is phenomenology with qualitative constructs with descriptive approaches and literacy studies. Study subjects used the phenomenon of waste in Indonesia with target of junior high school education and the 2006 KTSP curriculum. Data collection uses observation and documentation techniques by observing and studying the phenomenon of waste in Indonesia as well as documentation in the form of learning model articles. Data analysis uses a framework of data retrieval, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Results of the phenomenological study that characteristics of the PBL and ADDIE learning models form a solutive framework for the problem of the waste phenomenon so that it is used in musical instrument products from used glass bottles that form replicas of saron musical instruments. In addition, the adaptation of the ADDIE learning model as a construct of learning products can result in the quality and quantity of used glass bottle musical instruments being more optimal in their use. This product can also be an improvement in social and musical skills possessed by students and form the critical power and creativity of educators in the learning process.

Traditional music, especially Krumpyung Kulon Progo, presents a different performance in the mult... more Traditional music, especially Krumpyung Kulon Progo, presents a different performance in the multimedia era. These differences need to be studied in the form of art criticism so that a work of art can be seen objectively. The purpose of this study is to provide a critical review of the results of the transformation of Krumpyung Kulon Progo. The method of this research study uses qualitative with an in-depth analysis approach from Edward Felman's art criticism theory, namely based on description, formal analysis, interpretation, and evaluation. The data collection stages used observation, in-depth interviews with Kulon Progo artists on krumpyung music, and written documentation. Data reliability technique using source triangulation. Data analysis uses four stages starting from data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data conclusion. The art criticism study obtained is related to the results of the transformation in the form of Krumpyung presentation, which is a genre that changes the conception of
instruments, songs, and tone systems. The instruments used by adding modern musical instruments such as electric guitar, electric bass, and drum set. Meanwhile, the songs performed are contemporary songs with changes in the nuances of the dangdut genre coupled with a diatonic tonal system. The purpose of the transformation is not to change the authenticity of Krumpyung's traditional music, but to be a persuasive step in regeneration and community support for traditional music.
