Although a crisis often poses a significant challenge to maintaining orchestras’ operations at the same level, there is a chance that if orchestral managers are prepared for the crisis, they can navigate through it.
In writing this thesis, the author hoped to gain a clear perspective of what possibilities orchestras’ managers have in realising their mission in a time of crisis. The paper consists of three main components. A proposed model of effective crisis management may be a helpful tool in navigating through turbulent times. A review of strategies undertaken by orchestras provides valuable insights into other institutions' decisions. A set of guidelines for specific crisis situations proposes mechanisms for organisation’s operations.
The author wishes that this thesis, in its entirety, will contribute to helping future art administrators in managing their institutions in both "normal" and times of crisis.

The goal of this paper is to present to the reader the results of the research work on the musical source of the Mass in C major by Franciszek Lessel. First of all, it is the first presentation of the score, thanks to which an unknown piece by Franciszek Lessel is returned to the cultural circuit of classical - Polish and European - music.

Work), (b) a discussion of the work from the perspective of a source (II. Musical Source), (c) from editorial point of view (III. Score) and (d) from performer’s perspective (IV. Performance). All information collected by the author of the thesis related to the biography and work of the composer can be found in the appendix.
