A new alternative network is critical since cellular users are increasing year after year and net... more A new alternative network is critical since cellular users are increasing year after year and network capacity is becoming insufficient. Currently, network design prioritizes not only performance but also energy efficiency. The MIMO system has existed for a long time and has been shown to improve system performance. A mmWave technology is currently one of the 5G enabling technologies that use high frequencies to enable speeds of up to 1 Gbps while maintaining high capacity and low latency. Thus, the combination of mmWave technology and MIMO systems is one of the challenges for implementing 5G technology with high performance and energy efficiency in urban areas. This paper, therefore, designs and evaluates the mmWave MIMO network using 28 and 60 GHz frequencies in urban areas, especially in Banda Aceh city. Then, this paper analyzes the designed network performance by considering coverage area, SINR, throughput, and energy efficiency. The designed mmWave MIMO system uses different antennas: 4, 8, 16, and 32. Simulation results indicate that the mmWave MIMO 28 GHz network has a larger coverage area, higher SINR, and more energy efficiency than the mmWave MIMO 60 GHz network. The highest energy efficiency is achieved in the network using a 16-antenna. On the other hand, the throughput of a mmWave MIMO 28 GHz network is lower than that of a mmWave MIMO 60 GHz network. The mmWave MIMO 28 GHz network has demonstrated advantages that make it ideal for use in urban areas, particularly in Banda Aceh.
In this study, prediction of density and hardness properties using artificial neural network (ANN... more In this study, prediction of density and hardness properties using artificial neural network (ANN) and micro structural evolution of multi walled carbon nano tubes (MWCNT) and fly ashes (FA)/Al composites produced by powder metallurgy were investigated. The influence of content (wt.%) of reinforcements(MWCNTs and FA), ball milling time and sintering time on the mechanical properties were experimentally determined by measuring density and hardness values which are the outputs obtained from the artificial neural network. It was found that amount of reinforcements, ball milling time and sintering time play a major role in dispersion and enhancement of the properties. It was also demonstrated that ANN model is a powerful prediction technique to predict the mechanical properties of the composites. Blend powder morphology and sintered composite structure were investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM). It was found that reinforcements were well dispersed for prolonged ball milling time and sintering time.

Channel modeling is an essential factor in designing 6G communication networks. To meet the channel requirements of future 6G communication networks, it is crucial to measure the channel to consider path loss, multi-band, fading, blocking effect, multipath clustering, transmitter, and receiver moving speed/direction/time. The goal of this paper is to design and evaluate a 6G communication network in Banda Aceh City using a statistical channel model. The channel model is associated with environmental conditions such as rainfall and humidity. Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) or vehicle network is a technology developed for autonomous vehi... more Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) or vehicle network is a technology developed for autonomous vehicles in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). The communication system of VANET is using a wireless network that is potentially being attacked. The Sybil attack is one of the attacks that occur by broadcasting spurious information to the nodes in the network and could cause a crippled network. The Sybil strikes the network by camouflaging themselves as a node and providing false information to nearby nodes. This study is conducted to predict the Sybil attack by analyzing the attack pattern using a deep learning algorithm. The variables exerted in this research are time, location, and traffic density. By implementing a deep learning algorithm enacting the Sybil attack pattern and combining several variables, such as time, position, and traffic density, it reaches 94% of detected Sybil attacks.

This paper describes an alternative approach to homework, which asked the students to create and ... more This paper describes an alternative approach to homework, which asked the students to create and solve a problem set. The homework was one of several activities in an Introductory Calculus course taught using the Flipped Classroom method. The homework was meant to replace readings that were usually assigned to prepare students for the next class. Results from the experiment shows that this type of homework had a large impact on increasing students' understanding of the taught material. Students who were given this homework, on average, had a 29.98 grade points increase in posttest scores compared to students who were given the regular reading assignments. This increase can be attributed to students being better prepared for classes. By doing the homework, students were made to review the provided materials and had more problem sets to practice on. Moreover, students' reception of this type of homework was positive.

VANETs is a wireless technology where vehicles act as mobile nodes to perform a communication net... more VANETs is a wireless technology where vehicles act as mobile nodes to perform a communication network. All mobile nodes in the VANETs can communicate directly each other. As a wireless network, VANETs is vulnerable to some attacks include black hole attack. This kind of attack causes the VANETs service to be out of order. This attack absorbs and drops all of the data packets in the network. The data packets will not reach their destination because interfered by malicious nodes that perform black hole attack. This research will investigate and analyze the impact of the black hole attack on the performance of AODV and AOMDV routing protocols in VANETs. This study uses simulation software to mimic VANETs with multiple nodes. In the simulation scenario, one node acts as a malicious node that performs black hole attack. The result shows that the performance of both routing protocols decreases during the attack. The throughput of both routing protocols reduced while the packet loss increased. Although both routing protocols are vulnerable to black hole attacks, AOMDV has a better performance compared to AODV.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang antena mikrostrip rectangular patch array empat elemen menggunakan teknik pencatu Line Feed untuk penerima FPV 5,8 GHz, metode yang dipakai adalah simulasi dengan software Advanced Design System (ADS). Bahan yang digunakan Epoxy fiberglass FR4, ketebalan (h) = 1,6 mm, konstanta dielektrik (εr) = 4,5, dan Loss tangent = 0,018. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi diperoleh nilai return loss = -23,018 dB, VSWR = 1,152, gain = 9,442 dBi, bandwidth = 284 MHz serta memiliki pola radiasi directional.

The development of communications technology is overgrowing, making disseminating information so ... more The development of communications technology is overgrowing, making disseminating information so fast, widespread, and massive. A network of communication systems starting from the first generation to the current sixth-generation (6G). Fifth-generation communication systems have been implemented in several places in the world today. However, research continues to develop the sixth-generation communication system. This paper aims to survey and design a channel modeling for a 6G communication system. Moreover, the channel model has also simulated the system in Banda Aceh city as a case study, using the NYUSIM simulator. In this paper, the channel model is considered in the form of Urban Microcell (Umi) and Line of Sight (LOS) with a frequency of 90 GHz. Based on the simulation, this paper found that the path loss value is 124.7 dB, and the received power is -45.5 dBm. The simulation result has also shown that the maximum distance from the transmitter to the receiver for 6G communication is 123.5 m with a delay of 6.4 ns on directional power delay profile (PDP). While on omnidirectional PDP, the delay is 21.9 ns. Thus, the resulting attenuation is relatively high for 6G communication systems due to high rainfall in Banda Aceh.

The designed circuit is constructed from two 8-point DFT and four 2-point DFT. However, the operation of the design circuit is different. It utilised the advantages of the similarity of Fourier transforms, and Rademacher functions. Therefore, the proposed design is constructed from previously designed 8-point DFT which is based on products of Rademacher functions. Some analysis of the type of numbers, internal connections and the complex conjugate of the results to achieve the more efficient circuit has been made. The circuit is derived from LCG algorithm proposed by Lehmer. Wordlengths reduction technique has been used to simplify the circuit. Several nets connection among the blocks of the circuit are ignored or disconnected. Simulation either behavior or timing have been done successfully. Four best Xilinx chips are chosen to gather comparison data of maximum speed and area occupied. Kintex 7 is the fastest chip among all it is about 309 MHz and Spartan 6 is slowest one which is only 73 MHz. The area occupied is similar among all of the selected chips.

The design has been adopted from the famous 8-point DFT decimation in time which is mainly constructs of two 4-point and four 2-point DFTs. However, the operation of the design circuit is different. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang antena mikrostrip rectangular patch array empat elemen menggunakan teknik pencatu Line Feed untuk penerima FPV 5,8 GHz, metode yang dipakai adalah simulasi dengan software Advanced Design System (ADS). Bahan yang digunakan Epoxy fiberglass FR4, ketebalan (h) = 1,6 mm, konstanta dielektrik (εr) = 4,5, dan Loss tangent = 0,018. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi diperoleh nilai return loss = -23,018 dB, VSWR = 1,152, gain = 9,442 dBi, bandwidth = 284 MHz serta memiliki pola radiasi directional.

A network of communication systems starting from the first generation to the current sixth-generation (6G). Fifth-generation communication systems have been implemented in several places in the world today. However, research continues to develop the sixth-generation communication system. This paper aims to survey and design a channel modeling for a 6G communication system. Moreover, the channel model has also simulated the system in Banda Aceh city as a case study, using the NYUSIM simulator. In this paper, the channel model is considered in the form of Urban Microcell (Umi) and Line of Sight (LOS) with a frequency of 90 GHz. Based on the simulation, this paper found that the path loss value is 124.7 dB, and the received power is -45.5 dBm. The simulation result has also shown that the maximum distance from the transmitter to the receiver for 6G communication is 123.5 m with a delay of 6.4 ns on directional power delay profile (PDP). While on omnidirectional PDP, the delay is 21.9 ns. Thus, the resulting attenuation is relatively high for 6G communication systems due to high rainfall in Banda Aceh.

The designed circuit is constructed from two 8-point DFT and four 2-point DFT. However, the operation of the design circuit is different. It utilised the advantages of the similarity of Fourier transforms, and Rademacher functions. Therefore, the proposed design is constructed from previously designed 8-point DFT which is based on products of Rademacher functions. Some analysis of the type of numbers, internal connections and the complex conjugate of the results to achieve the more efficient circuit has been made. Therefore, instead of eight, the proposed design requires only five 2-point DFTs. The circuit is derived from LCG algorithm proposed by Lehmer. Wordlengths reduction technique has been used to simplify the circuit. Several nets connection among the blocks of the circuit are ignored or disconnected. Simulation either behavior or timing have been done successfully. Four best Xilinx chips are chosen to gather comparison data of maximum speed and area occupied. Kintex 7 is the fastest chip among all it is about 309 MHz and Spartan 6 is slowest one which is only 73 MHz. The area occupied is similar among all of the selected chips.
