The key question is who is the most appropriate personality to achieve the common good. Plato’s historical perspective gives us an argument, which however we should consider whether it is effective nowadays. According to Plato a city-state ruled by a philosopher-politician is the best form of government. But here raised some questions: i) Are all philosophers capable of ruling, ii) do they want to rule, and iii) what the philosopher must know in order to become able to rule? Plato focuses on the philosopher’s understanding of the necessity of his intervention. This means losing his special privileges of philosophical life, to pursue the benefit of society. Thus Plato’s appeal is addressed to those philosophers who have social sensitivity and embody the concept of justice as a political, philosophical, and anthropological principle.

These may include initial material for ethical formation, linguistic, philosophical, and general cultural axes for the teaching of the humanities.
As Jaeger stresses, the basic parameter in the teaching of Aristotle is the evolution of his thought, the preeminent characteristic of knowledge and science. Within this context, a meeting of a working group of expert Aristotle scholars and university professors of Aristotle from European countries is going to take place in order to survey the status of Aristotelian studies in European school curricula and to expand the prospects for reinforcing them (concept: Aristotelian Studies).
It is anticipated that the results of this project will reinvigorate the teaching curriculum and approach of “the school Aristotle” (whether from translation or at least partly from the original), which is a key issue in European education.

The topics generates interest to researchers for their special contribution in important areas of Platonic philosophy (epistemology, ontology, dialectic, philosophy of education) and their excellent aesthetic presence in Plato's writings. The essays focus on specific frames (the logical character of the meaning, an excerpt of Socrates' speech, the contribution of his method, the form of platonic dialectic process, a version of philosophical argument) which are necessary conditions to understand the corpus of platonic philosophy. The approach of these specific issues points out their philosophical meaning and matches it with the thread of Platonic philosophy. The book focuses on the connection of the logical and metaphysical element in Plato and the influence of the platonic dialectic to demonstrate the unity of Plato's spirit.Through Plato philosophy became a premium and autonomous process of contemplation, acquiring scientific nature and in this form is passed to Aristotle. It would not be possible, however, the approach of unity in Plato's spirit without the philosophical conception of the psychic "event" in Plato. He was the first that conceives the dynamic of the soul and its overwhelming impact on the philosophical subject.
