Despite the presumed discontinuity between the Medieval and Post Medieval Periods, there are indications of the interrelation between the cultural, social and religious domains of these periods. Some historical, geographical and archaeological resources have discussed this period in an attempt to define some of its aspects. This paper details and analyzes these sources and studies.
