The main argument of the study is that negative parenting either directly or indirectly affects the behavior of their children. To analyze the novels, the researchers have used close reading techniques while applying the social theories of Dodge (1980, 1996), Lyons-Ruth (1996) and Simons et al., (2007). The study is sociological in nature. It has been observed that youngsters are negatively affected because of the behavior and their subsequent decisions. In The Kite Runner, Amir suffers, in A Thousand Splendid Suns, Mariam's life is ruined, and in And The Mountains Echoed, Pari is badly affected by the decisions of her parents. All the three novels depict that the negative attitude of the parents results in deviant and antisocial behavior in their respective children. It is concluded that parents need to be careful about their children by adopting a positive attitude towards them to be able to be good citizens of their country. The parents illustrate negative attitude because of wars, unemployment, and social pressure.

Javeri's Hijabistan (2019) is a collection of short stories that explores themes of gender, identity, and societal norms within a Pakistani-Muslim context. This analysis explores how the protagonist's experiences in the story reflect key concepts of Marxist feminism, focusing on the oppression faced by women within familial and economic structures. The story follows a woman's journey from a mundane domestic life to a realisation of her own potential and worth, echoing larger struggles for gender equality and empowerment. The article examines the portrayal of patriarchal structures, gender norms, and economic exploitation within the story. By employing Marxist feminist theory, the analysis highlights the protagonist's transformation as she gains economic stability and finds her voice through creative expression.

The current study was quantitative in nature, a sample of thirty eight papers of one subject of the 8th semester were selected for examination through the purposive sampling technique. Corder's (1974) analytical framework was used to analyze data. After analysis of the data, the researcher identified five types of errors in the writings of the undergraduate students. The five kinds were: errors in punctuation, spelling, articles, tenses, and prepositions. The findings illustrated that majority of students made errors in comma, capitalization, indefinite article, present indefinite tense and wrong substitution of preposition. It is obvious that the students are weak in the use of mechanics of writing. The results also depicted that the overall performance of female students was very good, and they made fewer errors in their writings as compared to male students. invasion of the Soviets, the country has been facing subsequent
invasions from other powers as well as internal conflicts among
different religious sects and political groups for gaining power. Due to
this history of turmoil and conflicts, the people of Afghanistan were
severely affected. Many of them were displaced and migrated to other
countries while those who remained suffered from the horrors and
brutalities of war. It also caused them great physical, economic, and
mental losses. During this era of absurdity, mental depression, and
chaos writers felt the urge to express new experiences and realities in
new ways, and thus war became a dominant theme in the writings of
many Afghan writers. One among such leading authors is Khalid
Husseini who has realistically and boldly reflected the life of Afghans
during wartime and brutal realities of war in his novels. The current
study probes into the author’s dealing with the war subject through the
use of imagery in his novel ‘A Thousand Splendid Suns’ published in
2007. The main objective of the study is to highlight how imagery has
been a useful tool in the hand of the novelist to depict the brutalities and
horrors of war. For this purpose, a qualitative research approach is
adopted which includes an introspective and contrapuntal reading of
different quotations and excerpts from the novel in the light of the
theoretical framework adopted from Cuddon (1994). The key findings
of the study are that imagery has been a useful tool in the hands of the
writer for revealing the horrors and brutalities of war such as; mental
trauma and chaos of characters, the portrayal of War Driven Landscape,
nostalgia for the lost Cultural Heritage, separation of the loved ones and
disintegration of social fabrics and physical violence against the
civilians.

The nature poetry of the poet reinforces man's connection to nature and promotes environmental awareness. His poetry has been analyzed previously from various viewpoints, but little work has been done from ecocritical and stylistic perspective. This research seeks to examine selected nature's poetry from the poetic collection of the poet to recognize the concept of nature that he has embraced, as well as the creative and artistic qualities that his poetry contains. The paper also shows the poet's environmental consciousness that has developed cognitively involving three phases: physical, intellectual, and mystical. The thesis also examines the linguistic and literary styles in the selected poetry, using the Eco critical notions like eco centrism, symbiotic interrelatedness, and ecological consciousness. The current research addresses the critical need for literary-linguistic research into nature motifs for promotion of environmental awareness and sensibility.

to draw attention towards the rapid threats and negative behaviors towards nature and
environment in the wake of modern day climate disasters. Addressing this issue is a global
phenomenon that is why concerns have been raised by literary writers from many parts of the
world where the issue is seriously considered. In such writings we find a tone of environme1

melancholia and ecological grief. In this connection, the current study aims to investigate the
similarities in approaches towards the concerns about disruption in nature’s harmony in the
selected Pashto and English poems. The sample of the study consists of Muhammad Israr Atal’s
poem ‘Munafiqat’ translated as ‘Hypocrisy’ and William Wordsworth poem ‘The World is Too
Much with Us’ from multiple ecocritical theorists such as Cheryll Glotfelty who emphasized
the readers to closely investigate a particular text for the representation of natural world. Her
groundbreaking book ‘The Ecocriticism Reader: Landmarks in Literary Ecology’ (1996)
provides many key insights on this relationship. The ideas of Carolyn Merchant as stated in
her seminal work ‘The Death of Nature: Women, Ecology, and the Scientific Revolution (1990)
are also incorporated. The study also takes insights for its analysis from the works of David
Harvey’s work ‘Spaces of Hope’ (2000). The main aim of this study is to investigate the
similarities in both these works towards critiquing and preserving the environmental values
and thus draws attention to imminent ecological perils engulfing the world.
Key Words: Ecocirtical Concerns, Nature’s Harmony, Pashto Poetry, English Poetry.
