The purpose of the study was to know the conditions and services of primary Government Schools ac... more The purpose of the study was to know the conditions and services of primary Government Schools across four districts (Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock and Rawalpindi) of Rawalpindi division, for consecutive three years (2012-2015). Using District Profile Education surveys from 2012 to 2015, it was found that there is a decline in performances by primary schools. The trend shown by chakwal was poor of all. As far as building conditions for schools, availability of electricity and drinking water along with other facilities at primary schools are concerned, Rawalpindi and Jhelum district declined in each variable (school building condition, lack of latrines, boundary wall around school and drinking water). However, Attock district has shown favorable trend from year 2012-2015 with improved condition for primary schools. In light of the above findings, it is recommended that there is a dire need to improve the school infrastructure and to ensure the child friendly environment in order to bring as well as stay children in the school to complete their study.

The purpose of study was to conduct a situation analysis of child labor in commercial areas of Is... more The purpose of study was to conduct a situation analysis of child labor in commercial areas of Islamabad city. For that purpose, data was collected using purposive sampling. Fourteen case studies were taken from different areas of Islamabad. On the basis of obtained information, it was found that child labor is an outcome of various reasons. Most dominant reasons were poverty, migration, lack of interest in education, and absence of adult in a family. Alarmingly, children who involved in child labor are exposed to various hazards. Exposure to hazards threatened their physical as well as psychological health. Additionally, abuse was also common among child laborers. Children were abused by various means like slap, hit by objects, snap and bullying. In line with the above facts, it is need of the hour to restore these children as healthy and productive unit of society.

Objective: To explore the correlates of medical employee satisfaction and service quality of Basi... more Objective: To explore the correlates of medical employee satisfaction and service quality of Basic Health Units (BHU) in Sargodha Districts. Methodology: Data were collected from two groups; Employees and Patients of BHUs. Using the Employee Satisfaction Scale and SERVQUAL Scale, 236 respondents (118 Employees and 118 Patients) were approached. Results: Major findings were that there was at foremost, strong, positive correlation between the employer satisfaction and responsiveness, empathy, reliability and assurance of the services. Conclusion: It is necessary to provide incentives to employers that may encourage them to put their efforts in service delivery and also there is need to develop a cohesive relationship with employees to gain forward momentum.

Combating violence, it needs emergency measures to be taken and redefine continued efforts. Thus, it is suggested that it is the need of the hour to pave way for women friendly legislations and prohibits all practices of women violence by improving efficacy of existing policies for combating women violence.

Using Taaro Yamni formula to draw the sample, research approached 399 youth aged 15-24 years. As a research tool, Impact of Event Scale (IESR) was used with slight modifications. Using Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS) v. 21and Stata v. 20, a multinomial model was applied to explore the relation between different variables. The major findings of the study are that a person who has personal exposure to terrorist attack is the worst affected and the person who was informed by someone is least affected to constant threat to terrorism. Thus, it is suggested that terrorism is threatening mental health of youth therefore counter terrorism policies should be extended to social dimensions. A ... more The major purpose of the study was to know the enormity of nomophobia among youth in Pakistan. A screening questionnaire comprised of questions related to age, ownership, and usage of smartphones was circulated online using Email, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Twitter. Out of 789 circulated screening questionnaires, 350 respondents responded and later filled the NMQ-P scale (2014). The major findings of the study indicate that there was greater probability of nomophobia among youth with increase in age and longer hours of smartphones usage. Nevertheless, males are more likely to be nomophobic than females. In light of the aforementioned findings, it is recommended that it is necessary to counsel the youth and their parents about smartphone dependency. Moreover, users should set dos and don’ts for using smartphone.
