Thanks to universal access to the internet, the mass media plays an important part in fostering political unity and reshaping popular opinion. Crisis, in all of its manifestations, is an inextricable part of humanity's life, and its diversity is growing all the time. During times of crisis, the media plays a critical part in disseminating information and making people aware of the situation. The media has the ability to calm the public and inspire them to take constructive steps, or it can terrorize the public and cause havoc. This is a crosssectional survey-based applied research project. The statistical population consisted of residents of Kozani city and simple random sampling technique was used to select 300 residents for further investigation. A questionnaire created by the researcher was used to gather data. Descriptive, correlational and regression analysis were used to analyses the study variables. According to the results, the news media plays a significant and constructive role in reporting events concerning mitigation and recovery from a crisis, in addition, the majority of respondents prefer to watch the incident's headlines before the news from emergency zones returns to normal. According to the findings, crisis managers should think about the kind of newspaper they'll use when packaging crisis material. Furthermore, crisis coordination is supported by print media management techniques for core audiences. Similarly, factual emergency analysis of the print media continues to create confidence in the public domain for the press, and facilitates crisis coordination. As a result, crisis management must study the history of a catastrophe before communicating; they must raise questions like "why," "how," and "what happened before" in order to examine the present scenario for crisis reduction.

We have employed empirical research to unravel the phenomena among these domains by employing a comprehensive dataset comprising gross value added (GVA), compensation of employees, gross fixed capital formation, environmental
taxes, trade, employment, and time series data for demographic cohort transitions. Through a linear regression analysis, we uncovered strong positive associations between gross fixed capital formation and GVA and employment per capita, highlighting the critical role of infrastructure in driving urban economic growth. We also scrutinize how population dynamics—natural population changes and net migration—affect economic performance, offering valuable insights for evidence-driven urban policy. This research informs sustainable urban economic development policies and contributes significantly to the urban economics discourse.

In the modern world, that often needs them to work with other States. This study assesses the role of civil protection mechanisms in effective emergency management operations in public organizations based on the European perspective. Data was collected from 392 different technocrats from government civil protection agencies in Greece using an online questionnaire. The study revealed that civil protection experts positively influence effective emergency management operations in public organizations. The results revealed that early warning systems have an influence on effective emergency management operations in public organizations. Disaster risk forecasting has a positive influence on effective emergency management operations in public organizations. According to the study, crises and catastrophes have compelled the EU to improve civil protection coordination throughout the continent and its ability to conduct operations both inside and outside of Europe. It's not clear whether these cooperative EU agreements are going to succeed because national civil defense organizations aren't always similar and there isn't always enough trust between the organizations involved. This is especially true in light of recent global crises in the EU, such as the refugee crisis, terrorist attacks, and natural. It is important for public organizations across Europe to focus on enhancing early disaster warning systems, the enhancing of civil protection experts and improving disaster planning to promote effective management of emergencies.

A cross-sectional study was carried out among 345 enterprises in Greece using a quantitative research methodology. To investigate the relationship involving company risk management, adaptation, and mitigation plans with climate change risks, descriptive, correlational, and regression analyses are employed. Businesses are most distressed about the financial risks associated with climate change, followed by supply chain disruptions and physical hazards. Moreover, developing climateresilient infrastructure and enhancing catastrophe preparedness have evolved into vital adaptation tactics. Also, converting to renewable energy sources is the most preferred approach to mitigation initiatives. Furthermore, the study demonstrated a significant positive correlation between climate change mitigation strategies and effective business risk management. Nevertheless, as perceived climate change risks increased, business risk management effectiveness decreased. The study suggests that Greek businesses are actively engaging in climate change risk management strategies that embrace both adaptation and mitigation strategies. Yet, the study recommends a continued focus on developing resilient infrastructure and collaborative efforts with local communities, governments, and NGOs. Businesses should also prioritize the shift to renewable energy sources to better mitigate their carbon emissions. This research contributes significantly to understanding how companies can strategically address the challenges of climate change. Furthermore, the study provides valuable insights into the dynamics of climate change adaptation and mitigation in a specific geographical area, thereby enhancing the global dialogue on climate resilience and sustainable business practices.

Europe, with its diverse regions and commitment to sustainability, serves as a unique case study for exploring the integration of climate change strategies into regional policy and planning. The purpose of this study is to analyze the integration of climate change strategies into policy and planning for regional development in Europe, especially in Greece. Data was collected from 270 environmental experts across Greece using a questionnaire. The results highlight the signifi cance of regional economic growth (gross regional product), infrastructure quality, educational attainment, and a conducive business environment as key measures of
regional development. Opportunities arising from climate change strategy integration are explored, revealing economic benefi ts, environmental opportunities, social enhancements, and technological advancements. These opportunities not only mitigate climate change’s adverse impacts but also foster innovation, economic growth, and community resilience. Although fire impacts have been studied for many years, integrative analyses of their effects on various ecosystem services (ES) at
different scales are uncommon. This study tries to assess the ecological role of fire in a changing environment, focusing on a Mediterranean country. Data were collected by the use of an online questionnaire in Greece, where the summer fires in the last decades have had significant impacts on the environment and the economy and, in many cases, there were many human and animal victims from them. The sample size of the survey was 384 workers in the primary production sector from all over the country. The study showed that fire has several effects on animal husbandry, the quality of soil nutrients and fertility, the overall vegetation cover, and on general biodiversity. It seems that the degree to which fire has an effect on ecosystem components depends on the intensity, frequency, and length of the fires. Additionally, the frequency, intensity, and length of fire affect the impacts of fire on herbaceous plant, woody vegetation, soil physical qualities, and on the different animals’ habitats.
