i'm supposed to post a topic when i join...so here it is	[Jun. 29th, 2005\|10:46 am]The Time to Talk Place to Talk.
my topic is a simple yet complex one...it is of life.how should we react to it...what is it...life is our past,our present,and our future...simple enough...our past is nothing more than a collection of experiences that influence and make us who we are today..they are nothing to get upset over...it's just part of life(amazing,eh)...the present is just defined as the creation of more of these experiences that make us who we are today..once again they are nothing to get upset over...and the future is obviously just more of these experiences that are yet to come.the past is directly related to who we are today...by looking at our past we are looking at ourselves and can discover who we are and how we will react to certain things...it's the same reason that history is important...everything goes in cycles...so if you learn how things have worked in the past then you can better determine how they will work in the future and recognize when they are happening in the present...this is all in good theory of course but it makes perfect sense to me and realizing this and some other things has helped me immensely recently...so i'd like to see how others think about this...and you guys haven't used this thing in a good half a month...the community was a good idea...use it more:)

Are euphemisms exclusive to english speaking nations? I wouldn't think so, but they don't seem so applicable in other languages as in ours.Does anyone else think that the American trend towards excessive use of euphemisms hint at alot about our country?

What is the moral status of an unborn child? From a Liberty perspective, is it the same as us? Even if it only has the complexity of a fungus or paramecium?At what point should it be considered a citizen and have its rights acknowledged? I had a really interesting discussion with Dad about this, and wanted to see how other people saw the issue. I realize this is a senitive subject and don't want to offend anyone, but its also an important point of debate in contemporary events. Try to explain your answers because I doubt any of us have the same perspective...
