The objective of this paper will be to analyze the main approaches of the Modern Monetary Theory ... more The objective of this paper will be to analyze the main approaches of the Modern Monetary Theory with a specific focus on the works of Randall Wray and Warren Mosler with the intention of identifying the possible theoretical errors that could be found. Likewise, it will be object of this work to highlight those theorems that might be useful for the economic science. With the objective of giving this not only a theoretical but also an empirical character, we will study how the fiscal policy and the monetary issue promoted by the Argentine Central Bank has resulted in a secular experience of double-digit inflation, invalidating the proposals of the Modern Monetary Theory.
