The research examines the advantages of collaborative learning for creating ensemble rhythmic mus... more The research examines the advantages of collaborative learning for creating ensemble rhythmic music. The primary objective was to scan the collaborative learning process in the creative process of creating rhythmic ensembles. The research method used is a quasi-experimental, ex post facto study, comparing the learning outcomes of rhythmic music creation before using collaborative learning and after using collaborative learning, involving 28 students. The results reveal that collaborative learning had a positive effect on the creation of rhythmic music ensembles, measured using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The comparison results indicate that there is a significant difference before and after the treatment (sig = 0.000 <0.05). In fact, there is a significant increase from an average number of 40.0 prior to the treatment to 80.71 following the treatment. Keywords—collaborative learning, creating rhythmic, ensemble music

Dengan menggunakan teknologi modern dibidang komunikasi seperti radio, televisi dan internet maka komunikasi dapat mencapai sasaran dalam jumlah tak terbatas. Teknologi sudah semakin maju, masyarakat tetap membutuhkan suatu informasi dan sarana hiburan yang mudah didapatkan dan sangat efisien. Radio bersifat mobile dan portable, karena orang bisa membawa radio kemana saja. Siswa piano dengan usia 18 tahun atau lebih dikategorikan sebagai pemula dewasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui, keunggulan dan kelemahan penerapan teknik Alexander posisi setengah terlentang dalam mengatasi nervous pemula dewasa pada pelatihan piano. Teknik Alexander posisi setengah terlentang merupakan posisi istirahat yang sangat efektif. Tidak hanya untuk melepaskan ketegangan tetapi juga memiliki efek untuk meningkatkan koordinasi antara kepala, leher, dan tulang belakang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses belajar otodidak, meningkatkan kreativitas improvisasi pemain keyboard band dalam komunitas Band in Bandung. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif single case design karena menekankan pada sebuah unit kasus dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara dan observasi untuk mendapatkan data hasil penelitian. Salawaik Dulang is an Islamic Minangkabau traditional vocal music that functions as a medium of r... more Salawaik Dulang is an Islamic Minangkabau traditional vocal music that functions as a medium of ritual and entertainment. Cancang song is one part of the song's structure of Salawaik Dulang. Cancang song as the text is formed by poetry and melody. The essence of Salawaik Dulang's performance is in the rhyme of Cancang song. This article aims to analyse the meaning of Cancang song in Salawaik Dulang's performance. The method used was Narrative Inquiry. Data collection used observation, interviews, and document study. The results showed that Cancang song which is contained in Salawaik Dulang described the examining body. It has meaning in the form of an appeal and advice to the humans to conduct the Shari'a, the Tariqa (path), the Haqiqa (reality), and Ma'rifa (gnosis) in life.

This research concern to the development of Creativity Based Ornament Learning Model of Cianjuran... more This research concern to the development of Creativity Based Ornament Learning Model of Cianjuran Sundanese Songs. The development of learning model is based on the concept of, High Order Thinking Skill from Anderson Krathwohl, Exercises Creative Music Education from Murray Schaffer. Implementing the theory of Cianjuran Sundanese Songs by Zanten and Sukanda, and the theory of Cianjuran Sundanese song ornament. The research method used is design based research, with the stage of practical analysis in the field, organizing design, evaluation and reflection of learning model. Result of this research indicating that the ornament of Cianjuran Sundanese songs has aesthetic values, affective music values, and has strength in the practice of music creativity. The prototype model of Musical Creativity Based Cianjuran Sundanese Song learning modal is succeeded in delivering all participants to master the ornament of Sundanese songs creatively.

This conceptual framework of piano etudes is arranged in accordance with the phenomena that occur... more This conceptual framework of piano etudes is arranged in accordance with the phenomena that occur today, that there are still many students which study piano both in music schools and in international standard music courses in Indonesia, not sensitive to the musical sense of Indonesian traditional music, especially Sundanese. This is due to the lack of piano teaching materials based on Sundanese scale. In addition, the tendency of children, even teenagers and adults, are less interested in learning traditional music. In fact, Sundanese music has its own uniqueness that can be seen in its musical instrument, namely gamelan degung, laras or scales, and structure of degung music which is different from other gamelan. Therefore, this study using piano to introduce the scales of degung and some piece that are designed so the students can understand the tune that resembles degung which is adapted to the Western music approach. It is because students tend to find it easier to learn the piece with media conventional music background, one of them is the piano. This research used a literature review analysis that produces a conceptual framework to develop the piano etudes based on degung scale. From the result of the research, four ideas of piano etudes were produces, each of which has different levels of difficulty.

This study examines the power of critical thinking to produce music creative teaching performance... more This study examines the power of critical thinking to produce music creative teaching performance. The study participants were twenty music teachers who had participated in teaching music training, based on twenty-first century learning practices, with the desired peak of achievement targeted at improving their creative music teaching capabilities. It is a regression study. The research methods used were intended to test the strength of the participants' critical thinking to encourage and strengthen their creative teaching skills. The results showed that critical thinking has an advantage in producing creative teaching abilities, especially in the ability of teachers to manage teaching materials that triggered their students' musical creativity.

The method used is a design based-research, which is employed to develop teaching materials, which are based on the theoretical and application activities in order to examine the strength of materials. The results of the study reveal that, fi rst, the luk Keroncong ornaments, when it is used, it strengthens the vocal technique used by the respondents; second, this research also fi nds out that teaching materials employed in the classroom can improve the respondents' vocal technique. Notable areas of improvement and strengthening of the respondents' vocal technique are observed in their breathing management (appogio), vocal registration, especially when there are changes in the timbre (passaggio), head-voice resonance, a fl exibility of tone, and stability of tone.

A professional music educator is required to be able to sing well. Mastery of singing competence can not be separated from competencies to learn independently. This study focuses on Independent Learning Ability Development Model to improve student mastery of Vocal Technique Participants. The research method is conducted using class action research. Due to time constraints the research application of the learning model can only be observed in one cycle. The results showed that the application of learning models provide a positive implication on the ability to perform self-evaluation which is considered as part of independent learning skills.

It is a regression study. The research methods used were intended to test the strength of the participants' critical thinking to encourage and strengthen their creative teaching skills. The results showed that critical thinking has an advantage in producing creative teaching abilities, especially in the ability of teachers to manage teaching materials that triggered their students' musical creativity.

The method used is a design based-research, which is employed to develop teaching materials, which are based on the theoretical and application activities in order to examine the strength of materials. The results of the study reveal that, fi rst, the luk Keroncong ornaments, when it is used, it strengthens the vocal technique used by the respondents; second, this research also fi nds out that teaching materials employed in the classroom can improve the respondents' vocal technique. Notable areas of improvement and strengthening of the respondents' vocal technique are observed in their breathing management (appogio), vocal registration, especially when there are changes in the timbre (passaggio), head-voice resonance, a fl exibility of tone, and stability of tone.

Untuk memenuhi tuntut-an ini, metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus sosial inkuiri. A professional music educator is required to be able to sing well. Mastery of singing competence can not be separated from competencies to learn independently. This study focuses on Independent Learning Ability Development Model to improve student mastery of Vocal Technique Participants. The research method is conducted using class action research. Due to time constraints the research application of the learning model can only be observed in one cycle. The results showed that the application of learning models provide a positive implication on the ability to perform self-evaluation which is considered as part of independent learning skills.
