Our claim is our aim - to really understand complex systems in-depth.

Through this understanding we identify performance issues, bugs or security flaws. We look at IT systems as a whole, recommend architectural improvements or implement specific changes to applications.

We know about things like profiling applications and operating systems, analyse core/crashdumps or analyse network traffic - and if we need a skill to gain additional insight, we acquire it.

If you're using open source, quite likely, we'll be able to help. Besides Vinyl Cache, we know about various pieces of open source software on varying levels from operations down to the source code level - but always with a focus on performance, availability, scalability and security.

Out of all the tools and methods we use for performance optimization, Vinyl Cache (formerly Varnish Cache) plays a special role. It is the tool for web performance optimization.

We create and maintain optimized Vinyl Cache setups, co-maintain the Vinyl Cache core code and develop vmods. Most of them can be found in our repositories on code.uplex.de.
