Hello! I'm Sharon, a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Sarawak campus (UPMKB). I've earned both a B.Ed. and Ph.D. from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). My academic and professional journey centers around Entrepreneurship and Business Management. My Ph.D. research specifically delved into the interplay between Women Entrepreneurship Practice, ICT Adoption, and Business Performance.
I am deeply passionate about nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit in the next generation, employing a combination of foundational business principles and innovative strategies. This dedication transcends the classroom, as evident through my scholarly publications, which are accessible on Google Scholar under "Sharon Yong Yee, Ong."

The objective of this paper is to identify the dimension of Entrepreneurship Practices (EP) and B... more The objective of this paper is to identify the dimension of Entrepreneurship Practices (EP) and Business Performance (BP) for women entrepreneurs in Malaysia. It is also to develop a conceptual framework and hypothesis for the relationship of EP and BP among women entrepreneurs in Malaysia. The population of this study is Malaysian women entrepreneurs. Women entrepreneur in Malaysia are chosen because of their potential role in business dan economy development. In future research, questionnaires will be distributed to respondents from the listing of women entrepreneur association in Malaysia. To analyze the data, the statistical packages for the social science (SPSS) version 21 will be used to analyze preliminary
data (reliability test, mean, standard deviation and frequencies). To build and test research model, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique will be used. The dimension of EP and BP are identified and a conceptual framework has been proposed. This framework will be used to
study the relationship of EP and BP among women entrepreneurs in Malaysia. Based on the proposed conceptual framework, the hypothesis is developed and future research is also included. The dimension and relationship of EP and BP hope to contribute to women entrepreneurship literature and research model as a benchmark for use to suit the goals of the organization, culture and business environment.

The aim of this paper is to identify the dimension of ICT adoption and BP to develop a conceptual framework for further study about the relationship to identify those that can determine women entrepreneur success. To achieve this objective, literature review is conducted by extend number of literature in ICT, BP, and women entrepreneur. Related studies are review and analyze by using literature table. The finding of this paper reveals a proposed conceptual framework and hypothesis that gain support from literature. The significant of this study is expected to provide guideline for women entrepreneurs in Malaysia and Indonesia who wish to adopt ICT in their business and help them to evaluate the relationship with BP. This study can assist women entrepreneurs in considering the adoption of Electronic commerce (EC) and Mobile commerce (MC) to embark themselves in technology and innovation. Further efforts are to test this conceptual framework and hypothesis by using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) to develop a research model.

The methodology used in this research is literature review of previous studies in ICT adoption. Based on literature, WEP have significant relationship towards BP. Women entrepreneur who practices WEP might as well stimulate ICT adoption in business. In this paper, WEP constructs refer to entrepreneurial traits, entrepreneurial experience, management skill, customer relation, training and education and environment while ICT adoption constructs refer to e-commerce and m-commerce. The proposed conceptual framework will be used for further research.
