Based on previous teachers' research of opinions on the quality of the upcoming students generations related to general knowledge, motor skills, attention, concentration and vocabulary it was noted that the path goes in descending levels. The problematic issue is focused on the future trend of new generations of students, i.e. whether the existing trend of negative results of PISA research and national research will: 1) stagnate 2) continue or 3) be positively reversed by using new learning methods. The research involved 172 pupils (aged 11 to 13) who attend the fifth and sixth grade of elementary schools in Republic of Serbia. We have interviewed two groups: experimental and control one. Pupils from the experimental group have studied and followed the program by Nikol...

The question we propose to answer is how long children uses ICT devices during school days and over the weekend, and how much time children use the same devices during school days and during the weekends. The research presented in the paper shows that sedentary life is very dangerous for children, especially in the preschool and primary school period. Our research shows that 5-8 of our children are under high risk, while 34 are under risk in relation to their biological development.

Experience of boredom, often termed as a disease of the modern world, is tightly related to regulation of attention. In the light of a rapidly changing environment, irrevocably followed by a change in cognitive style and most probably, a change in the preferred form of knowledge acquisition, the aim of this study was to explore the current opinion of school children (5th and 6th grade) regarding their fondness for school, the amount of time spent on their smartphone/PC and their learning approach and need for changing the learning method. We conclude that, in order for children to be more satisfied with school and their achievement, it is necessary to start a diligent implementation of a well-designed ICT in classroom.

The aim of this study was to compare children’s play time with parents’ play time at their child’s age, as well as the elements of play. A survey was conducted among parents of children aged 6 to 8 years. The results of the survey, which was based on a sample of 37 parents, showed that a child nowadays spends more time playing at home (110 minutes/day on average compared to the 96 minutes/day their parents played as children) and, conversely, with a statistically significant difference, only half the time their parents did playing outside (96 minutes/day on average compared to the 157 minutes/day on average that their parents spent at the same age). We also found a statistically significant difference in screen time in children today (93 minutes/day on average), which is three times as much as it used to be in t...

The usage of new information and communication technology and systems [1] in the modern society e... more The usage of new information and communication technology and systems [1] in the modern society enables easier access to a growing number of services, tools and devices that in the present day are more available to the public than ever before and can be found in every social circle. This article concentrates on the usage of new information and communication technologies and TV among children from seven to ten years of life. The lack of movement and a sedentary lifestyle accompanied by the often usage of devices available to them may lead towards certain disorders among younger children (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, growing number of children with flat feet), especially among children starting the first grade of elementary schools. This article shows a part of research conducted on a representative sample of 1286 subjects in Croatia, Italy and Serbia. In accordance with the needs of this article, the presented results were obtained by analyzing the following variables: time spent in front of the TV and computer daily and during the weekends, ownership of a smartphone, if the rules of the usage of a smartphone are set beforehand by parents/guardians/caretakers, usage of smartphones for accessing on-line video games and if the subjects use smartphones in class without the awareness of teachers and for their personal needs that don't involve the class program. Istraživanje je vršeno na hotimičnom uzorku (N= 23). Teorijsku osnovu predstavlja Ozbornov sistem razvijanja stvaralaštva, koji je zasnovan na sledećim psihološkim mehanizmima: istraži i isprobaj druge mogućnosti primene ideja; adaptiraj, modifikuj, povećaj, smanji, redukuj, kondenzuj; supstituiraj; izmeni redosled elemenata; sve preobrni; kombinuj dve ili više ideja (Kvaščev, 1981) i Toransov (Torancce, prema Kvaščev, R., o. c.) sistem razvijanja stvaralaštva čija je teorijska osnova u: otkrivanju višeznačnosti datih činjenica i povećavanju vrednosti datih informacija; razvijanju strategija stvaralačkog učenja putem otkrića; razvijanju motivacionih komponenti stvaralaštva; sintezi empirijskog istraživanja i teorijskog uopštavanja; asocijativnoj osnovi otkrića; pronalaženju novog na osnovu nekompletnih činjenica i nedovoljno strukturisanog materijala; individualizaciji stvaralačkog učenja prema kognitivnom razvoju ispitanika (Kvaščev, R., o. c.).

Teorijsku osnovu predstavlja Ozbornov sistem razvijanja stvaralaštva, koji je zasnovan na sledećim psihološkim mehanizmima: istraži i isprobaj druge mogućnosti primene ideja; adaptiraj, modifikuj, povećaj, smanji, redukuj, kondenzuj; supstituiraj; izmeni redosled elemenata; sve preobrni; kombinuj dve ili više ideja (Kvaščev, 1981) i Toransov (Torancce, prema Kvaščev, R., o. c.) sistem razvijanja stvaralaštva čija je teorijska osnova u: otkrivanju višeznačnosti datih činjenica i povećavanju vrednosti datih informacija; razvijanju strategija stvaralačkog učenja putem otkrića; razvijanju motivacionih komponenti stvaralaštva; sintezi empirijskog istraživanja i teorijskog uopštavanja; asocijativnoj osnovi otkrića; pronalaženju novog na osnovu nekompletnih činjenica i nedovoljno strukturisanog materijala; individualizaciji stvaralačkog učenja prema kognitivnom razvoju ispitanika (Kvaščev, R., o. c.).
