This strategy used in teaching and learning to approach students in understanding and empowering the science concept. The purpose of this study is to develop a model based on SSI in measuring and assessing the cause effect relationship of the identified variables for the proposed model of reasoning skills among the science students. The method used in this research is a quantitative study with survey approach that will measure the model fit. A total of 500 respondents form four students in biology classes around four zones in Malaysia responded to four variables in the questionnaire (content acquisition, epistemology scientific belief, adhered moral and ethics and reasoning skills). Data was analyses by using SPSS and Analysis of Moment Structure (AMOS) 21 to form Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of this study is projected to contribute the understanding of students' reasoning skills especially in biology education. This study is expected to develop policies and guidelines towards the Centre of excellence in science teaching and learning. Introduction Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI) is one of the strategies teaching and learning which can relate the science concepts with particular current issues that have been reported by the mass media. Examples of issues has commonly reported is health issues, environmental issues, medical issues and genetic engineering issues. The SSI strategy is controversy issues that can stimulate students to debate. Indirectly, when it was discussed, each science concept connected with the learning objectives in biology curriculum will be dominated by students. According to Zeidler,

The variables to be tested are the Basic Statistics, critical thinking and leadership skills of students. This research involves development design and quasi-experimental pre-posttest nonequivalent design. So this research involved two phases: development and testing phase. In the development phase, three important steps that should be followed is the process of building modules, validity and reliability of the module and do pilot study of modules. Modules that have validity and reliability were tested at the Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Ipoh which selected by purposive sampling. While the sample is selected among the student population of the campus is the second semester Preparation Bachelor of Teaching programed. The samples were randomly selected using cluster sampling and divided into a control group (conventional method) and the treatment group (ABL method). The results of this study are expected to open educators minds to doing innovative teaching methods. It thus is able to guide the implementation of the 21st century teaching methods. The impact of this research is also expected to assist the Ministry of Education to achieve the vision and aspirations of the country.

These things give the impression that the teaching and learning of mathematics and science needs to be improved. One of the strategies that have been suggested by the Blueprint (Pelan Pembangunan Pendidikan Malaysia [Pendidikan Tinggi]) is to use experience-based approach. Adventure learning is a hybrid approach that has basic characteristics of experiential learning and inquiry learning. It is seen as having the characteristics of improving the skills of the 21st century in terms of leadership and critical thinking skills. The study was based on three objectives, namely the development process modules, the validity and reliability of adventure-based teaching modules. This module is developed based on ADDIE model and integrated with Kemp model. It involves five main phases. The validity of the process module using Cohen Kappa index (CKI) and Content Validity Index (CVI) based on the views of seven experts. The analysis showed that face validity and content validity were excellent with the CKI 0.97 and CVI is 0.96. While the reliability of the module Adventure-Based Teaching is good with 0.76 points. This finding would confirm that the module has high reliability and validity. This module is expected to assist the Malaysian National Aspirations and Mission in developing successful human capital.

This study will employ a quantitative approach research using a quasi-experimental pre and post-test non-equivalent control group design. The sample for this study will be selected randomly at one Malaysia Teacher Training Institute and will be involved semester two students in Program Persediaan Ijazah Sarjana Muda Perguruan. Three main instruments will be used in this study such as The Fundamental Statistic Achievement Test, Critical Thinking Test and Leadership Assessment Questionnaire. The sample will be divided into two groups: the experimental groups will undergo an adventure-based learning approach while control groups remain to the conventional approach. The results of this study are expected to provide an alternative teaching approach that can be implemented by lecturers, teachers and educators in practicing the teaching and learning for the 21st century. This study is also expected to assist the Malaysian National Aspirations and Mission in developing successful human capital. Introduction Innovation and transformation in education is often the case. This matter must be addressed by educators in the country. Dropping knowledge in the field of teaching and learning will impact negatively on the country's students. The effects of the approach to teaching and learning issue is still hotly disputed. Yeo and Zhu (2005) stated that teachers still use the approach delivering lectures, individual exercises and discussion of answers in math class.
