This study identify the level of basic skills of invasion games category when using School Based ... more This study identify the level of basic skills of invasion games category when using School Based Assessment Module. The assessment of invasion games category was divided into two assessment contexts namely Assessment for Learning (AforL) and Assessment of Learning (AofL). The findings showed that the level of cognitive achievement for AforL is M = 69.12, SD = 14.74 and AofL is M = 76.60, SD = 12.96. The findings of the level of psychomotor achievement for AforL with M = 72.28, SD = 14:23 and AofL with M = 74.98, SD = 9.88. The analysis also showed the level of affective achievement for AforL: M = 75.33, SD = 14:40 and AofL: M = 76.65, SD = 18:52). This result clearly showed an improvement in students’ learning performance in achievement test through teachers’ observation during the teaching and learning of Physical Education for Invasion Game Category Basic Skills. Sampel graduan adalah seramai 49 orang dari program ISMP (Sains Sukan), 25 orang dari ISMP (Sains Kejurulatihan) dan 9 orang ISMP (Pendidikan Jasmani) yang telah bergraduat dari tahun 2010 hingga 2014. Sampel majikan dan rakan sekerja graduan yang dikaji turut terpilih sebagai responden kajian ini. Manakala sampel temubual daripada graduan dan majikan adalah seramai 6 hingga 10 orang dari setiap program pengajian. The incidence of obesity has tripled in Malaysia since 1996, with one third of the adult population being currently overweight or obese. This study evaluated the effectiveness of an intervention programme on the level of Body Mass Index (BMI) of 40 purposely sampled form four overweight and obese female students from SMK Taman Bukit Maluri, Kepong, Kuala Lumpur. Data were obtained through the WHO (2004) BMI test procedure which was conducted before and after the 8-week intervention programme. Paired t-test analysis for the treatment group (N=20) indicated that the circuit training intervention programme was able to reduce the subjects BMI. It is a purposive sampling and divide to experimental group (n = 110) and control group (n = 109). Body fat (BFP) measured using Omron Karada Scan HBF 375 with Height Scale. The experimental group underwent 8 weeks physical exercise program using the NSTP wellness module. The module contains 18 low intensity training, 40 moderate intensity training and 14 high intensity training with 8 psychological sessions. Analysis showed a significant difference between pre-test and post-test after 8 weeks in experimental group. There was a greater decrease BFP (1.44%) and weight (-2.03%). Samples for this study comprised of 49 graduates from the B Ed (Sports Science), 25 graduates from B Ed (Coaching Science) and nine B Ed (Physical Education) who have graduated from 2010 to 2014 as well as their respective employers and peers were selected as respondents. Six to ten samples from each programme together with their employers were interviewed further using guided questionnaire. The purpose of this study was to identify students’ learning achievement based on cognitive, psychomotor and affective domain through the Comprehensive Assessment Module (CAM) on first aid in Physical and Health Education subject. Methods. A pre-experimental – one shot case studies design was conducted in eight secondary schools in the district of Larut, Matang and Selama in Perak. The sample consisted of 15 teachers and 447 of Form 2 students who attended the Physical and Health Education class. Results. The CAM instrument reliability was used to gauge the cognitive domain (r=.76), psychomotor domain (r=.92) and affective domain (r=.77). Questionnaires regarding the usage of CAM on first aids (r=.92) was also used in this study. Inter observer agreement among researcher was 70.96±0.83. This study was conducted to determine the level of cognitive domain among Reserve Officers Traini... more This study was conducted to determine the level of cognitive domain among Reserve Officers Training Team (PALAPES) after underwent three years of training module. 105 PALAPES cadet officers were recruited as participants in this study. Co-curriculum index assessments (IPKo) was used to assess cognitive domain achievement level. Results showed all the cadets are only at the ‘good’ and ‘moderate’ level in all given cognitive items; i) Management: 73.3% ‘good’ and 26.7% ‘moderate’, mean = 3.73, ii) Safety: 66.7% ‘good’ and 33.3% ‘moderate’, mean = 3.67, iii) Regulations: 73.3% ‘good’ and 26.7% ‘moderate’, mean = 3.73, iv) Protocol: 82.9% ‘good’ and 17.1% ‘moderate’, mean = 3.83. The overall cognitive mean was at a ‘good level’ of 3.74. Results demonstrate the advantages for the university students to involved in co-curricular activities such as PALAPES in enhancing cognitive ability.

the purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of Task Assessment Standard (TASk) ... more the purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of Task Assessment Standard (TASk) in the teaching and learning process of Physical and Health Education teachers. Task Assessment Standard (TASk) was constructed based on the Physical and Health Education Content Standard Document (2017). In addition, Malaysia Education Blueprint (2013-2025) and Professional Circular Letter No. 3/1999 (Ministry of Education, 1999) related to the preparation of teaching and learning records were also used in the construction of the TASk. The instrument was measured based on the expert validity value (r = .85, N = 10) and the reliability value of TAS (83%, SD = 0.68, N = 17) which are based on the inter observer agreement. The overall student achievement level was 85% and the strength TASk was also investigated through triangulation (85%). In conclusion, TASk can be used as a standard and standardized assessment instrument in students' task assessment, in line with the aspiration of the National Education Philosophy to produce balanced individuals from physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual aspects. The Task Assessment Standard (TASk) can also be used as a guide for Physical Education and Health Education teachers to improve the quality of teaching and learning assessment.

this study was designed to assess students reasoning achievement based on net and wall category, ... more this study was designed to assess students reasoning achievement based on net and wall category, using Games Performance Assessment Instrument (GPAI) in Physical Education. The design used in this study was Quasi experimental design which consist of 240 form II students in the district of Hilir Perak, Perak. The treatment group is allowed to undergo teaching and learning programs based on net and wall TGfU mode, while; the control group undergo Technical Model. The students reasoning achievement were determined using percentage statistics such as mean and standard deviation; while the research hypothesis were answered using ANCOVA analysis. The pre-test result of the treatment group showed overall (M = 2.04; SD = 0.48) compared to the control group which showed overall (M = 2.00; SD = 0.38); meanwhile the treatment group showed overall (M = 3.84; SD = 0.77) in the post-test which is higher when compared the control group which showed overall (M = 3.19; SD = 0.96) in the post-test. The reasoning achievement of the students at excellent level showed that the treatment group (n = 57; 40.70%) is higher than control group (n = 27; 19.30%).From these results, it was evidenced that there was a significant difference between the study group that was adjusted with the pre-test and post-test F (1, 276) = 0.93, P = 0.336. The implication of this study suggested that GPAI can be used as an alternative instrument for determining the level of learning domain based on reasoning to achieve higher order thinking skills.

This study was conducted to examine the level of affective domain among Reserve Officers Training... more This study was conducted to examine the level of affective domain among Reserve Officers Training Team (PALAPES) after underwent three years of training module. 105 PALAPES cadet officers were recruited as participants in this study. Co-curriculum index assessments (IPKo) was used to assess cognitive domain achievement level. Results showed all the cadets are only at the 'Good' and 'Moderate' levels for all the affective items that have been given. No significant difference was found in the mean affective level between male cadet and female cadet. Results demonstrate the advantages for the university students to involve in co-curricular activities such as PALAPES in enhancing their affective domain.

Samples for this study comprised of 49 graduates from the B Ed (Sports Science), 25 graduates from B Ed (Coaching Science) and nine B Ed (Physical Education) who have graduated from 2010 to 2014 as well as their respective employers and peers were selected as respondents. Six to ten samples from each programme together with their employers were interviewed further using guided questionnaire. The purpose of this study was to identify students’ learning achievement based on cognitive, psychomotor and affective domain through the Comprehensive Assessment Module (CAM) on first aid in Physical and Health Education subject. Methods. A pre-experimental – one shot case studies design was conducted in eight secondary schools in the district of Larut, Matang and Selama in Perak. The sample consisted of 15 teachers and 447 of Form 2 students who attended the Physical and Health Education class. Results. The CAM instrument reliability was used to gauge the cognitive domain (r=.76), psychomotor domain (r=.92) and affective domain (r=.77). Co-curriculum index assessments (IPKo) was used to assess cognitive domain achievement level. Results showed all the cadets are only at the ‘good’ and ‘moderate’ level in all given cognitive items; i) Management: 73.3% ‘good’ and 26.7% ‘moderate’, mean = 3.73, ii) Safety: 66.7% ‘good’ and 33.3% ‘moderate’, mean = 3.67, iii) Regulations: 73.3% ‘good’ and 26.7% ‘moderate’, mean = 3.73, iv) Protocol: 82.9% ‘good’ and 17.1% ‘moderate’, mean = 3.83. The overall cognitive mean was at a ‘good level’ of 3.74. the purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of Task Assessment Standard (TASk) ... more the purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of Task Assessment Standard (TASk) in the teaching and learning process of Physical and Health Education teachers. Task Assessment Standard (TASk) was constructed based on the Physical and Health Education Content Standard Document (2017). In addition, Malaysia Education Blueprint (2013-2025) and Professional Circular Letter No. 3/1999 (Ministry of Education, 1999) related to the preparation of teaching and learning records were also used in the construction of the TASk. The instrument was measured based on the expert validity value (r = .85, N = 10) and the reliability value of TAS (83%, SD = 0.68, N = 17) which are based on the inter observer agreement. The overall student achievement level was 85% and the strength TASk was also investigated through triangulation (85%). In conclusion, TASk can be used as a standard and standardized assessment instrument in students' task assessment, in line with the aspiration of the National Education Philosophy to produce balanced individuals from physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual aspects. The Task Assessment Standard (TASk) can also be used as a guide for Physical Education and Health Education teachers to improve the quality of teaching and learning assessment.

this study was designed to assess students reasoning achievement based on net and wall category, ... more this study was designed to assess students reasoning achievement based on net and wall category, using Games Performance Assessment Instrument (GPAI) in Physical Education. The design used in this study was Quasi experimental design which consist of 240 form II students in the district of Hilir Perak, Perak. The treatment group is allowed to undergo teaching and learning programs based on net and wall TGfU mode, while; the control group undergo Technical Model. The students reasoning achievement were determined using percentage statistics such as mean and standard deviation; while the research hypothesis were answered using ANCOVA analysis. The pre-test result of the treatment group showed overall (M = 2.04; SD = 0.48) compared to the control group which showed overall (M = 2.00; SD = 0.38); meanwhile the treatment group showed overall (M = 3.84; SD = 0.77) in the post-test which is higher when compared the control group which showed overall (M = 3.19; SD = 0.96) in the post-test. The reasoning achievement of the students at excellent level showed that the treatment group (n = 57; 40.70%) is higher than control group (n = 27; 19.30%).From these results, it was evidenced that there was a significant difference between the study group that was adjusted with the pre-test and post-test F (1, 276) = 0.93, P = 0.336. The implication of this study suggested that GPAI can be used as an alternative instrument for determining the level of learning domain based on reasoning to achieve higher order thinking skills.

Co-curriculum index assessments (IPKo) was used to assess cognitive domain achievement level. Results showed all the cadets are only at the 'Good' and 'Moderate' levels for all the affective items that have been given. No significant difference was found in the mean affective level between male cadet and female cadet. Results demonstrate the advantages for the university students to involve in co-curricular activities such as PALAPES in enhancing their affective domain.
