Reducing routing overhead is the key to resolve the scalability problem. In this context, we propose a new link state routing protocol named CLSR. It uses clustering to reduce the routing overhead and the size of routing table. It introduces one level hierarchy in the network and it applies proactive link state approach inside as well as outside clusters. We study through simulations the performances of our protocol CLSR, and we compare it to F-OLSR, OLSR-Tree and SA-OLSR protocols. Simulations show that our protocol provides comparable or better performances in term of the generated routing overhead and the data packets delivery ratio.

In order to assist the development of multi-agent systems, agent-oriented methodologies (AOM) have been created in the last years to support modeling more and more complex applications in many different domains. By defining in a non-ambiguous way concepts used in a specific domain, Meta modeling may represent a step towards such interoperability. In the transportation domain, this paper proposes an agent-oriented meta-model that provides rigorous concepts for conducting transportation system problem modeling. The aim is to allow analysts to produce a transportation system model that precisely captures the knowledge of an organization so that an agent-oriented requirements specification of the system-to-be and its operational corporate environment can be derived from it. To this end, we extend and adapt an existing meta-model, Extended Gaia, to build a meta-model and an adequate model for transportation problems. Our new agent-oriented metamodel aims to allow the analyst to model and specify any transportation system as a multi-agent system. In this paper, we aim to propose an Agent-Oriented meta-model adequate to any Transportation Systems with multi-configuration ability problem.

The current version of the platform includes a set of plugins im-plementing single-agent and multi-agent environments, hard-coded controllers based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) tech-niques, classical Reinforcement Learning (RL) techniques like Q-Learning, Sarsa, Epsilon-Greedy combined with some linear function approximators, as well as a Machine Learn-ing (ML) technique for Apprenticeship Learning (AL). Its architecture allows users to execute standard AI approaches as well as model-based, model-free, offline, online, standard and approximated RL algorithms. Ipseity is targeted at a broad range of users interested in AI in general, including industrial practitioners, as well as ML researchers, students and teachers. It is regularly used as a course support in Artificial Intelligence and it has been used successfully to manage power flows in simulated microgrids using multi-agent reinforcement learning.

Whatever the studied environment, indoor or outdoor, the multi- agent approach is a highly suitable tool to study the dynamics of displacement. This paper presents an environment model, which is dedicated to the simulation in 2D or 3D virtual environments. It is primarily designed for the simulation of crowds and traffic. The model combines the agent-oriented approach with algorithms used in the fields of virtual reality simulation and video games. Our model is designed to provide the mechanisms of realistic perceptions and actions to agents. It is a software framework that provides a collection of tools to ease the implementation, and make faster the simulation of heterogeneous entities (pedestrians, cyclists, drivers...) in a virtual world.

Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) are based on distributing information and computing algorithms for complex ne tworks, and are an excellent technological solution for this application. This c hapter focuses on applications of MAS in power systems and describes how they can be use d with other artificial intelligence techniques in order to make the grid smarter and mo re flexible. In addition to presenting the basics of multi-agent theory, this c hapter covers some design procedures and provides several examples, as well as perspecti ves for future developments of MAS in power systems control.

Event-B is a formal method with tool support allowing a stepwise development of reactive distributed systems. We propose using Event-B to helpful the specification and the safe development of Multi-Agent System. Agent technology is a software paradigm that permits to implement large and complex distributed applications. In order to assist the development of multi-agent systems, agent-oriented methodologies (AOM) have been created in the last years to support modeling more and more complex applications in many different domains. But this specification remains abstract and it necessity a formal method in order to obtain a consolidated specification. In this article, we mainly report our experience with the Event-B stepwise in order to specify and validate our new agent-oriented meta-model (Platooning Meta-Model) that allow the analyst to model and specify any transportation system as a multi-agent system in a dynamic environment. This article also aims at serving as a guide for the development of other MAS, taking agents specific features and the environment properties into account.
