Due to the unsuitability of such an approach to current design and production techniques, the cus... more Due to the unsuitability of such an approach to current design and production techniques, the customised structure elements and connections, the limitation in materials, the machine to be used in automated production, especially in the aircraft manufacturing industry, and advancements in automation and robotics in manufacturing are not comparable to those in the industry. Increased prefabricated element quality and decreased building site accidents are two benefits of using automation and robots in the manufacturing aircraft industry. This paper discusses the implementation of a pick-and-place concept of a robotic arm and elaborates on the same situation in the aviation manufacturing industry. The robotic arm is meant for instructional purposes. Using the robotic module prepared in the robotic lab, the design of the ladder diagram is made and then uploaded to the Omron CP1L-E controller to instruct the robot to do a pick-and-place task. Still, the available robot in the lab uses a cylinder actuator that is powered up using a pneumatic system with multiple joints, making it impossible to appoint the robots to move a specific position. We study the robotic arm by employing servos to power the joints more accurately and precisely. Several pieces of software are being used in the robotic arm. This paper will implement a robotic arm that carries out pick-and-place tasks similar to the industries such as a CNC Tending Robot. The paper also includes designing a robotic and automation system and safety protocols for deploying robots in the aircraft production sector.
