Para ello se ha considerado apropiado efectuar un acercamiento al análisis de su contenido conceptual. Por un lado, las actitudes o disposiciones; y por otro lado, las capacidades o habilidades, pertinentes todos para su debida manifestación, pero que también parecen conformar un proceso racional y lógico ordenado, de forma sistemática; y, cuya identificación es esencial para formular modelos de evaluación debidamente sustentados, que permitan o contribuyan al desarrollo pleno del pensamiento crítico en los estudiantes universitarios y su aplicación para sus actividades profesionales y académicas, proceso que se pretende reforzar hasta el corolario de su práctica, esto es, la denominada “autorregulación”. El objetivo del presente estudio es determinar el aporte del aula invertida al desarrollo de las ... more El objetivo del presente estudio es determinar el aporte del aula invertida al desarrollo de las habilidades investigativas de estudiantes universitarios. El aula invertida es un modelo pedagógico ecléctico, fortalecido por el desarrollo de las herramientas informáticas actuales, cuya adecuada implementación contribuiría a establecer un ambiente favorable para el pleno desempeño del proceso de adquisición del conocimiento en el espacio universitario, a través del trabajo colaborativo, auto disciplina y, en definitiva, el cultivo del auto conocimiento. Este modelo sería, además, propicio para el desarrollo y fortalecimiento de destrezas investigativas en los estudiantes universitarios.

Given the need to strengthen citizen participation in urban planning processes, related research ... more Given the need to strengthen citizen participation in urban planning processes, related research is aimed at considering citizens as “sensors” in order to use their collective intelligence. In other words, people who interact as active members through the use of collaborative and social platforms generate valuable data that is used as input for intelligent systems. The stagnation of the construction sector in large cities and the resulting housing situation have led researchers to seek new technological answers where participation from people, together with policies established by the government, jointly create new environments and solutions of housing. This study aims to present the design of a social Web application that promotes collaborative-based urban planning within the context of cognitive cities. Specifically, after studying the theoretical bases and analyzing data collected in two Ecuadorian cities, we propose a non-functional prototype. The proposed methods approach to what will be a Web application that embeds a model of cognitive urban planning, and were evaluated by local government collaborators. The prototype was built depending on the requirements specification and the intelligent components that will allow citizens to collaborate and interact in a smarter way. We conclude that involving people in the co-creation of their cities (by collaborative computer-mediated means) may improve their living conditions and place urban resilience as a challenge that can be overcome.

En las Islas Galápagos un nuevo currículo contextualizado ha sido implementado para sus estudiantes en todos los niveles. Determinar la efectividad de usar este currículo para enseñar ingles es el principal objetivo de este estudio. La metodología cualitativa y cuantitativa fue aplicada por el investigador usando entrevistas a maestros y alumnos, así como observaciones de clases en la Escuela Alejandro Alvear en la isla San Cristóbal. Los resultados permitieron entender la importancia de usar un currículo contextualizado para enseñar ingles al desarrollar las habilidades de inglés se internalizan los contenidos reales. El objetivo fue determinar la relación que existe entre las competencias digitales de los docente... more El objetivo fue determinar la relación que existe entre las competencias digitales de los docentes y el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje en la Unidad Educativa María Piedad Castillo de Levi. En lo cuantitativo, se empleó un diseño no experimental transversal de tipo correlacional de Pearson, la población estuvo conformada por 18 docentes entre 28 a 45 años, que cuentan con formación continua y posgradual relacionada con el uso de las TIC. La correlación se genera en 0,19 lo cual indica que las competencias digitales influyen, pero necesitan ser mejoradas en los docentes con la intención de que el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje tenga mayor efectividad y contundencia en los estudiantes. Los docentes de bachillerato de la Unidad Educativa María Piedad Castillo de Levi se encuentran en un nivel poco competente en cuanto a las competencias digitales, resultado obtenido a través de los instrumentos aplicados en la muestra seleccionada.

Selecting the best profession from the antic until today have been looking for new ways in order ... more Selecting the best profession from the antic until today have been looking for new ways in order to improve the methods for advising to the people interesting in continuing their formation in higher education. Several efforts have been develop from the education field, and now with Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) tools support. However, nowadays-integral solutions in order to correct this issue are scare explored. This paper presents the advance in the research in order to create a Virtual vocational guidance model that allows advising in real time to people interesting in get a professional degree. Action research design approach has been applied in order to get interactive information from higher education applicant and improve prototype and model by each interaction. Early outcomes have shown increase the number of student that access to higher education. Outcomes allow us show a list of recommendation in order to find ways for applied ICT tools as support for effectiveness vocational guidance.
