However, the sufficient time for observations to achieve a certain level of accuracy is still one of the main concerns for researchers and specialists. In this study, the geometry of a short-sides triangle has been employed to estimate the sufficient observing times of GNSS receivers throughout the online processing services. The short-sides triangle vertices were observed for 24 hours and partitioned into shorter periods of time, then GPS and GLONASS have been processed as well as GPS alone after filtering out the GLONASS observables. Datasets have been processed using online post-processing services, i.e. AUSPOS and CSRS-PPP. A number of propagation error models have been applied to investigate the statio...

Here comes the need to invent new methods and systems to save such information and deal with. An example of such systems is management information system and Geographic Information System. Marshes are water areas in the south of Iraq and cover about (35000) Km 2 of the total area of Iraq. And because of it's strategically and economical importance in addition to tourism this study seemed to be important. In this research the information were gathered from the soil reports of the National Centre for Construction Laboratories for different parts of Marshes area in addition to Laboratory reports done by Consultation Bureaus and the researcher made tests for three parts of Marshes area. More than ten tests were carried out for each area and the results of such tests were statistically studied, analysed and measure to know level of confidence. One of the most important Engineering properties, bearing capacity of soil, in addition to the amount of acidity and alkality (pH) of the soil. These data were treated and analysed by using geographic information system to produce contour maps, after that local analysis was done for data to come up with digital terrain models in a three dimensional figure to manifest earth surface. By these abilities, a digital data base was made for these properties that can be generalization for all soil properties and for all parts of Iraq, which enables to do the recyclization and treatment and analysis easily in making the designing and planning of any engineering project.

The success of fire service depends mainly on the speed of the fire truck reaching the scene and the performance on field to reduce losses to a minimum ratio. The objective of study is utilizing the applications of GIS to assess the efficiency of spatial coverage of the fire service in Nasiriyah city and spelling out the necessary measures to increase coverage at the short and long term. The coverage is first evaluated according to the service ranges currently applied by the government departments responsible for the fire service. The obtained results are compared to the coverage based on service radius .The study suggests the service polygon method to determine areas where the fire service can reach in (4 minutes) or less. The main conclusions of the study is that the assessment of the coverage using a radius of service equal to (2.5 km) corresponds to the characteristics of the road network in the study area, but the findings of coverage using the suggested service polygon method is more accurate and closer to reality. The number of fire stations available within the area of study is sufficient at the current time, but poor distribution has provided typical coverage for only 60% of the areas in need of fire service. TERMINOLOGY  Service Range (Coverage Range): the boundary of a certain area served by one or several fire stations, which might be of a regular or irregular shape. Coverage range is determined by different standards according to the characteristics of cities.  Service Radius: is the value of the coverage range radius for a full circle.  Response Time: the time consumed by a fire truck to travel from the fire station to the scene (Wheel start to wheel stop) [1].  Fire Path: The route taken by the fire truck on the road network from the fire station to the scene.

chemical concentrations in marsh water. Samples are selected from seven sites to analyze the marsh
water quality based on sixteen parameters including physical properties: total dissolved solids (TDS)
and electrical conductivity (Ec) and Chemical properties: the acidity (pH), calcium concentration (Ca),
magnesium concentration (Mg) , chloride concentration (Cl), sulphate concentration (SO4),
ammonium (NH4), nitrite (NO3), potassium (K),heavy metals (Cu, Cr, Ni, Mn, and Zn),and dissolve
oxygen (DO). The measured data are utilized to build the GIS model. Eventually the developed model
is used to predict the targeted properties in randomly selected- sites and compare them with the
measured data. The comparison shows a good agreement between the predicted and measured data.
The GIS model gives an overview about the distribution of these parameters on the marsh areas,
which in turn helps in evaluating the pollution in marsh water. This may assist in suggesting the
treatment points in this area and can provide the decision-makers with a scientific evidence to
optimize the related emergency response measures.

Severe traffic congestion and frequent traffic accidents are particularly evident in large cities in Iraq. Inadequate parking facilities often result in the difficulty to find a parking space and illegally parked vehicles on crowded streets are widespread. These illegally parked vehicles further intensify traffic congestion and also pose a traffic safety hazard. It is essential for proper parking policy development to understand the exact problems and to know international experience. In this paper, the CBD (Central Business Districted) area was chosen in Nassiryah City to prepare traffic study, involving data collection for number of parked vehicles and its positions on main roads, parking characteristics, and parking capacity. By using effective model of GIS road applications (Spatial Analysis), results of this research indicate that the Illegal on-street parking is wide spread, shortage of parking facilities and all off street parking are unlicensed. This data used to calculate shortage percent in parking area, then chosen the optimum sites for construction and development parks to close this shortage.

This model takes two forms, the first is the lens distortion equations and the second is a power form polynomial. In this research we apply an analytical aerotriangulation for three photos of Baghdad University. In these three photos, we don't have their used camera calibration report. Therefore, we did three trials. In the first one we compute the ground coordinates for check points with neglecting the effect of image distortion, then the RMSE was equal to 0.61 m. In the second trial we compute the ground coordinates with entering a mathematical model to the collinearity equations which absorb systematic errors taken the form of lens distortions equation and the RMSE was equal to 0.54 m. The last trial we compute the ground coordinates with entering a mathematical model to the collinearity equations taken the power form polynomial and the RMSE was 0.50 m.

Abstract. Finding locations suitable for disposal of solid waste is one of the fundamental challenges facing municipal cities and environmental stability. The present study aims to identify the most suitable solid waste disposal site using Geographic Information System (GIS), remote sensing, and the multi criteria decision-making (MCDM) technique. In addition, the study compares the proposed method for suitability with the traditional analytic hierarchy process (AHP) approach. A new validation approach was applied to evaluate the accuracy of the AHP and Fuzzy logic methods based on the selected solid waste locations. Remote sensing data (ASTER GDEM) and field/reference maps were used to derive 12 conditioning factors required to produce a suitable location for solid waste disposal. The result shows that the accuracy of AHP, based on the consistency index (CI), is acceptable (greater than 0.1). However, Fuzzy logic was shown to be more accurate than AHP. The total surface areas of suitable locations based on AHP and Fuzzy models are 4.4 km² and 13.35 km², respectively. This study showed that AHP, Fuzzy logic and GIS can be integrated for waste management decision issues related to site selection to reduce negative effects on the environment and inhabitants.
