This study is aimed at assessing the role of microfinance resources on women microenterprise perf... more This study is aimed at assessing the role of microfinance resources on women microenterprise performance in the Adamawa State of Nigeria, so as to enable Nigerian government determine what area to focus in redesigning enterprise development programs, and what strategies to develop in enhancing the ability of women entrepreneurs to benefit from their microfinance resources and improve women involvement in microenterprises activities and performance. Also, the mediating role of training on the relationship between financial resources and women microenterprises performance is examined. The study employs a cross-sectional survey design, with simple random sampling, to collect data from 381 women entrepreneurs in Adamawa (women entrepreneurs who are a client of microfinance and belonged to any savings group in Yola and those who did not). SmartPLS 3.0 will be used to analyze data.

Existing literature has been identify to get some evidence that leads to entrepreneurship spirituality towards business performance Taqwa, Ihsan, Adl, Amana etc. women entrepreneur's spirituality is distinctive in its nature as its not only influence but shapes the behaviors of individual entrepreneurs spiritually in business activity morally. It enhances ethics and spiritual values into their firm that leads to increase productivity and profitability. Besides employee retention and customer loyalty, and enhance morale. It also has socioeconomic effect more to the point heartening entrepreneurship development and reinforcement relations among entrepreneurs. The study used the entrepreneurship principles approach which is based on ethico-metaphysical dimensions that are not inspired by material objectives. Owner manager and employee relationship is purely based on religion. Both are accountable and answerable to Almighty Allah for their deeds and are His trustees on earth.

The aim of this paper is to investigate the collected data concerning on the influence of micro-f... more The aim of this paper is to investigate the collected data concerning on the influence of micro-finance factors, training, and performance of women MSEs in Nigerian. Samples of four hundred and thirty were selected from the total population of 7155 MSEs operating in Gombe state North East Nigeria. Hence, this study employed stratified sampling technique to divide the State in to three Senatorial District strata. In addition, data screening and cleaning were performed with the intention to satisfy the assumptions of multivariate analysis. Thus, the study conducted missing data analysis, outliers, normality and multicollinearity assessments. Likewise, the entire analysis was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) v18. Conclusively, the data found to fulfill the requirements for multivariate analysis.

— This paper examined corporate governance and financial information management in the Nigerian B... more — This paper examined corporate governance and financial information management in the Nigerian Banking Sector. The purpose is to examine the weaknesses and strengths of corporate governance practice in the Nigerian Banking Sector and also to assess the level of financial information management disclosure in the sector. A total of five banks have been used as sample. The data obtained through questionnaire were analyzed using simple percentage. Our findings reveal that there are weaknesses in corporate governance practice of banks in Nigeria. Based on the findings the study recommended that the regulatory authorities should enforce corporate governance laws and regulations and put sanctions for violators of fiduciary duty in order to deter wrong doing.

However, women benefited immensely from micro loans and facilitate their entrepreneurial activities in the country. Consequently, the paper intends to examine the microfinance factors that aid to women entrepreneurship development among the female borrower of the micro loans. The paper emphasizes the role women entrepreneurs played as the potentially emerging human resource in Nigeria to overcome the socioeconomic challenges in global perspective. African Women are confined with domestic responsibilities rather than being educated, acquiring knowledgeable and be innovative. At the same time as few of them do parts of the overall population possess the capacity to transform rural economies into flourishing enterprises. high developing and lower middle economy have realized that developing women entrepreneurship is crucial to thrive as economically overriding nation in the technologically advanced world. Women sustainable development is a critical one toward rural economic transformation and growth for any country; therefore the economic sustainability of women entrepreneurship program is vital and challenging one to stakeholders and policy makers. Credit association (ROSCA) enable rural female entrepreneurs to develop their business activities especially in micro enterprises (MSEs). However, ROSCA women are mostly connected with Micro – Entrepreneurship activities very few are linked with Small Scale Enterprises. Those women continue to help in boosting a sustainable economy for themselves and provide job opportunities for others women. The rural women entrepreneurs with the sustainable economic development are able to contribute to the families, and increase per capital head. The present study deals with role of women's economic development, contemporary perspective of women in ROSCA opportunities and limitation of rural female entrepreneurs. This study tries to bring to light the women's sustainable development is predestined and possible with government support.

Women micro-entrepreneurs participated actively towards economic development of their families an... more Women micro-entrepreneurs participated actively towards economic development of their families and communities but certain obstacles such as market and gender related discrimination, poor funding, weak management system, low business and managerial skills, low household income mostly in developing countries have hindered their effective performance of that role. It is revealed that micro-entrepreneurship could be an effective strategy for poverty reduction, employment, revenue generation, contribution to GDP and increase living standard, in a country; since women are the worst hit in such situation. Conversely, it is discovered that women micro-entrepreneurs, in developing countries, do not have easy access to microfinance services for their business activity and as such have low business performance than their men counterparts, whereas the rate of their involvement in the informal sector of the economy is higher than males, and microfinance factors could have positive effect on firm performance. The objective of this study is to examine the effect of motivation, network affiliation, on women micro-entrepreneurs’ performance in Nigeria. The study involves a survey using structured questionnaire (SQ) and comprehensive interview is conducted to solicit responses from women micro-entrepreneurs. Secondary data was collected from cooperate affairs commission (CAC). Data was analyzed using Hierarchical regression.
