All over the world, dentists have turned to natural remedies for dental cure due to the negative possessions of certain antibacterial mediators used in dentistry. Antimicrobial and other drugs are currently in use, but they show some side effects. Since ancient times, antioxidant EOs have been used for different ailments and have grown in popularity over time. Several in vitro, in vivo, and clinical trials have shown the safety and effectiveness of antioxidant essential oils (EOs) in oral health obtained from medicinal plants. The current review of literature provides a summary of secondary metabolites, more specifically EOs from 20 most commonly used medicinal plants and their applications in maintaining oral health. Agricultural college, Purnea on Mango cv. Amrapali to study the effect of conservation practice of mulch with irrigation and fertilizer levels on yield and soil parameter, fruit yield and its qualities of mango grown in kosi zone of Bihar. The experiment was laid out in split split plot design with three replications. Experimental findings revealed that conservation practices as mulch significantly increased fruit set, fruit retention, fruit yield and fruit quality. Among different irrigation levels and fertilizer doses maximum fruit yield (23.24 ton/ha) was obtained under conservation practice with 75% recommended irrigation along with 100% RDF which was at par with conservation practice with 75% recommended irrigation along with 75% RDF. The treatments consisted of two levels of irrigation (recommended irrigation and 75% of recommended irrigation) and three levels of fertilizer (50, 75 and 100% of recommended NPK fertilizers) including surface irrigation and conventional soil fertilization was laid out in a Split Plot Block Design. The results showed that improved growth, yield, fruit quality and irrigation water use efficiency were obtained under conservation compared to surface or conventional irrigation. The increasing levels of conservation practices consistently and significantly increased all these characteristics. The scattering effects in the infrared ͑IR͒ spectra of single, isolated bread yeast cells ͑Saccha... more The scattering effects in the infrared ͑IR͒ spectra of single, isolated bread yeast cells ͑Saccharomyces cerevisiae͒ on a ZnSe substrate and in metal microchannels have been probed by Fourier transform infrared imaging microspectroscopy. Absolute extinction ͓͑3.4Ϯ 0.6͒ ϫ 10 −7 cm 2 at 3178 cm −1 ͔, scattering, and absorption cross sections for a single yeast cell and a vibrational absorption spectrum have been determined by comparing it to the scattering properties of single, isolated, latex microspheres ͑polystyrene, 5.0 m in diameter͒ on ZnSe, which are well modeled by the Mie scattering theory. Single yeast cells were then placed into the holes of the IR plasmonic mesh, i.e., metal films with arrays of subwavelength holes, yielding "scatter-free" IR absorption spectra, which have undistorted vibrational lineshapes and a rising generic IR absorption baseline. Absolute extinction, scattering, and absorption spectral profiles were determined for a single, ellipsoidal yeast cell to characterize the interplay of these effects.
