Jonathan Hall

I study the history of Old Testament interpretation through the Reformation, especially in its “practical” ramifications: ethics, catechetics, and liturgy. My dissertation explores the introduction of the Ten Commandments into Christian catechesis in the 13th century by looking at a wide range of sources: theological treatises, pastoral manuals, and ecclesiastical statutes.
