Team Vitality signs Perkz, Alphari, and Carzzy as it looks to bring Europe back to the top of League of Legends (original) (raw)
A GIGANTIC LEC ROSTER
Three of the best European League of Legends athletes join Team Vitality. Eight-time League of Legends European Championship (LEC) winner and 2019 World Championship finalist Luka “Perkz” Perković, back-to-back 2021 League of Legends European Championship (LEC) winner Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság, and top lane superstar Barney “Alphari” Morris join the Vitality’s LEC roster.
After eight years of building Team Vitality to be the biggest French brand in esports and gaming, the organisation is accelerating its development to become a European powerhouse by investing in the most accomplished players in esports history. With the ambition to get the final of the World Championship, Team Vitality is creating a top-performance model. Bringing together a powerful mix of established athletes, promising rookies, and experienced coaching staff alongside top-of-the-range infrastructure and performance centers. Team Vitality has a truly international roster with players from 10 nationalities across both LEC and LFL rosters.
Perkz, Alphari, and Carzzy join Labros “Labrov” Papoutsakis and Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek to form an explosive line-up, ready to shake up and fight their way to the top of the European scene. The signing of Perkz represents one of the most iconic League of Legends free agency moves to date. The best player in Europe, Perkz is the only competitor to ever win eight consecutive League of Legends European Championship titles. His accolades don’t stop there with victories at the League of Legends Championship Series 2021 Mid-Season Showdown, Mid-Season Invitational 2019, and appearances at four World Championship including a final spot in 2019. Bringing international expertise with his long-time European legacy and his North American experience, Perkz is one of only two players to have won major titles in both EU and NA, bringing great momentum to Team Vitality’s ambitious global goals.
“I am so excited to be returning to Europe with a new home at Team Vitality. When I was approached to join the team I knew straight away that they had a real passion and hunger to make 2022 their year. I’m ready to take my career to new heights and I know Team Vitality is somewhere I can continue to build a legacy,” said Luka “Perkz” Perković.
