Four antecedents of new product acceptance namely relationship quality, channel motivation, product advantage, and market competitiveness were explored. Research method-A cross-sectional survey research design was employed by using questionnaire to collect data for the study. The data obtained from eighty-six respondents were presented and analyzed using different statistical tools such as mean, correlation, and Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) through the use of SmartPLS 3.0 software. Result-The study revealed that relationship quality and market competitiveness have positive and significant influence on new product acceptance among retailers. However, channel motivation and product advantage do not have a statistically significant influence on new product acceptance. Recommendation-The relationship between suppliers and retailers can be strengthened by taking advantage of the dynamic innovations in different social media platforms to establish uninterrupted links for effective communication. This study contributes to knowledge by adding to the emerging discourse on the strategic space occupied by retailers in guaranteeing the ultimate success of new products in the Nigerian business setting by providing insights on the determinants of new products acceptance among retailers.

Specifically, the study estimates the change in likelihoods and steady-state distribution of the share prices of the firms to determine the average time spent by the share price to move to another state and the turnover rate of the selected stocks. Markov chain-based stochastic modelling approach was employed by using the daily closing share prices of all the seven oil and gas firms quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange from April 2017 to January 2020. The study finds that the transition probabilities and the steady-state distribution of all the firms are stationary at first-order, implying that chain depends on the previous state. The steady-state probabilities of all the firms examined exhibit relatively high price stability in the long run. The study recommends that investors with diverse attitudes to risk-taking can explore the estimated long-run prospect of the investigated stocks in making guided investment decisions.

This has made satisfaction in healthcare services a top priority for both healthcare professionals and patients. However, the costs of healthcare services continue to be key sources of hardship for many households, hence the introduction of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) service in Nigeria to lessen the financial burden of accessing healthcare. The study investigated how patient satisfaction is impacted by NHIS service in a teaching hospital in Nigeria. The population consists of all enrollees of NHIS at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH). Copies of the questionnaire used for the study were administered to NHIS enrollees seeking medical care in three departments of the hospital, namely: General out-patient, Maternity, and Dental. Out of the 200 questionnaires administered, 182 (...

Copies of the questionnaire were administered to the Operations and Information Technology department staff of selected oil firms in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. Out of the three hundred (300) copies of the questionnaire administered, two hundred and forty-three (243) were validly filled. Sixteen (16) of the responses were deleted due to the presence of an outlier in the dataset. The remaining two hundred and twenty-seven (227) responses were used for data analyses. The research model was estimated using structural equation modelling to establish relationships among the variables. The study found that technology infrastructure has a positive but insignificant impact on the sustainable performance of oil and gas firms. However...

A random sample of 297 table water companies was used for the investigation out of which 247 were validly completed. Using the Mahalanobis distance approach, three responses demonstrated the presence of outliers which were deleted from the dataset. Therefore, 244 responses were used for the study. Multiple regression analysis was used to establish the statistical significance and relationship between sustainable manufacturing practices and environmental performance of the selected table water companies. The study found that the investigated sustainable manufacturing practices (sustainable product development, sustainable packaging, and sustainable waste management) have a positive and significant impact on the environmental performance of table water compani...

It investigates corporate governance variables and analyses whether they impact on firm performance as measured by return on asset (ROA) and profit margin (PM). Based on the review of existing literature, four corporate governance variables were selected namely: composition of board member, board size, CEO status and ownership concentration which served as the independent variables. The ordinary least square regression was used to estimate the relationship between corporate governance and firm performance. Findings from the study show that there is positive and significant relationship between composition of board member and board size as independent variables and firm performance. CEO status also has positive relationship with firm performance but insignificant at P<0.05. However, ownership concentration has negative relationships with return ...

This objective has been pursued theoretically by reviewing the different government policies on education and the place of entrepreneurship development in such policies. It is not a debate that economic development and sustainability are hinged on creativity and innovation, which are the defining features of entrepreneurial education. It also follows that if entrepreneurial education must be used to define the country’s developmental efforts towards a sustainable future, the focus must be on school age youths, to whom the future belongs. This paper argues that, though certain policies on education like that for polytechnics emphasise vocational and technical education and skills, there remains a dire need for real orientation of concerned institutions towards building entrepreneurial mind-set in the youths. Certain theories on entrepreneurial education and development ar...

A survey research design with the use of questionnaire was adopted to generate the needed data for the study. The population of the study comprised users of mobile phones in the university community, ministries, and secondary schools in Benin City, Nigeria. Copies of questionnaire were administered to two hundred (200) respondents out of which one hundred and ninety-four (194) were returned and found useable. Statistical tools including simple percentage, mean, t-test and analysis of variance (ANOVA) were employed for data analysis through the use of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS 22.0). The study also investigates demographic influences on GPB. Design/methodology/approach - Purposive and convenience sampling methods were used in selecting 150 respondents for the study. Questionnaires were administered to nursing mothers in University of Benin Teaching Hospital and Creches within Benin City, Nigeria. A total of 124 questionnaires were returned, out of which 116 (77 per cent) were found usable. The data collected were analysed using mean, factor analysis and analysis of variance. Findings - Results reveal that environmental attitudes and perceived effectiveness of environmental behaviour are the critical predictors of GPB of nursing mothers in the selection of diapers. Age was the only demographic that significantly explain nursing mothers’ GPB. Practical implications - International green marketers planning to offer baby diapers in Nigeria should seek to influence nursing mothers’ attitude by emphasizing the perceived effectiveness of their GPB. In the same vein, the municipal waste management in conjunction with the post-natal and child healthcare needs to educate nursing mothers of the danger of improper disposal and selection of non-degradable diapers. Originality/value - The study is unique and seminal in nature, as it is first of its kind possibly in Nigeria to examine the GPB and environmental sensitivity of nursing mothers in the selection of baby diapers.

The study explores the concept of manpower planning and the rationale for its advocacy in organizations to include: reduction of labour cost as excess staff can be identified and thereby overstaffing can be avoided; recognition of the available talents in the organization and designing training programmes to enhance those talents; organizations are better able to attract and retain the number of people required with the appropriate skills, expertise and competences; among others. Furthermore, some challenges such as lack of sensitivity to problems, complexity of the organization, rapid changes, and ineffective communication, among others were identified to inhibiting effecti...
