In addition to literature review, an investigation based on interviews was conducted with 11 heads and systems experts of distance education centers to obtain the technological sustainability factors of m-learning. In order to understand the significance of these factors on m-learning sustainability, another investigation based on survey research was conducted with 75 system staffs from the universities which have m-learning facilities. The data analyzed and evaluated for a technological sustainability model of m-learning. The study may provide guidelines to m-learning initiatives for a sustainable mobile learning.

Data are collected from a total of 183 people with a survey questionnaire. Structural equation modelling SEM was applied as the major statistical technique for data analysis. The proposed model has the potential to help technology companies to understand some of the factors influencing user' behaviors and attitudes toward VAPA and improve the technology quality. There are few researches about voice-activated technology adoption in the literature and this is first paper that proposes a research model for acceptance of VAPA.

Current studies on the sustainability of m-learning are reviewed in the context of organizational, financial, legal and ethical, pedagogical, assessment, psychological, and social factors. In addition to the literature review, an investigation based on formal interviews is conducted with 11 heads in university centers for distance education (UCDE) to obtain additional sustainability factors. To test the impacts of the factors on sustainability in m-learning, another investigation which bases on survey research is conducted with administrative personnel in UCDE, and instructors and students in the distance education universities. A total of 667 survey responses are analyzed, and a model for the sustainability of m-learning is developed. This article concludes that some factors have significant effects on sustainability in m-learning and some of them are critically important for m-learning initiatives. M-learning sustainability is studied rarely in some contexts such as organizational, psychological, and social context. Therefore, this study can bridge this gap, and provide a guideline to m-learning initiatives for sustainable education.

Firms can stay competitive using the benefits of digital technologies, such as the Internet of Things, social computing, cloud computing, cyber-physical systems, big data and analytics, wireless networks, artificial intelligence, robotics, simulation, etc. The spread of the coronavirus disease in 2019 (COVID-19) all over the world has created a better understanding of the importance of organizations’ ability to keep up with digital innovations. Therefore, the regeneration of business models is becoming an increasingly crucial factor for survival in the digital age. This study develops a process model for digital innovations-driven business model regeneration based on the design science research approach. For this purpose, the existing models and cases in the business model innovation (BMI) literature are examined and the empirical data are collected using semi-structured interviews to complement and validate this knowledge. The collected data are then analyzed and a digital innovations-driven business model regeneration method is developed. The proposed model is demonstrated with a real case. This study extends the BMI literature. The proposed process model can be used by strategic managers to analyze the impacts of potential digital innovations on their current business models and regenerate their business model. Therefore, it can help companies to be able to gain a competitive advantage over their competitors or sustain their business against technological developments.

The collected data are thematically analyzed. The data were transcribed, reduced, rearranged under technology and service categories, and synthesized for obtaining the related applications. The study presents the findings of applications of intelligent system technologies under the related service and technology categories. The findings are analyzed, and first, the functions of intelligent system technologies in service processes are described and then, the common and rare service processes where intelligent system technologies are given as a result of the analysis. The results can contribute to literature providing a better understanding of applications of intelligent system technologies in service processes for future studies. In practice, the results can help to service companies that need the applications of these technologies to be able to stay competitive.

As we move further into the digital age in which a large collection of music is being created daily and becomes easily accessible renders people to spend more time on activities that involve music. Consequently, the form of music retrieval is changed from catalogue based searches to searches made based on emotion tags in order for easy and effective musical information access. In this study, it is aimed to generate a model for automatic recognition of the perceived emotion of songs with the help of their lyrics and machine learning algorithms. For this purpose, first 300 songs are selected and annotated by human taggers with respect to their perceived emotions. Thereafter, Unigram, Bigram and Trigram word features are extracted from song lyrics after performing text preprocessing where stemming of the Turkish words is an essential part. Then, term by document matrices are created where term frequencies and tf-idf scores are considered as representations for the indices. Five different classification algorithms are fed with these matrices in order to find the best combination that achieves the highest accuracy results where recall and precision values are used as comparison metrics. As a result, best accuracy results are obtained by using Multinomial Naïve Bayes classifier where Unigram features are used to create the term by document matrix. In this setting, Unigram features are stemmed by Zemberek Long stemming method, and the index representation is chosen as term frequency. For this combination, obtained recall and precision values are 43.7 and 46.9, respectively.

Integration models proposed in the literature are reviewed and merged into a more comprehensive model. Based on the proposed model, integration process occurs under four domains: strategic, organizational, logical and physical. Related approaches of hierarchy, structure, direction and extent are analyzed and evaluated for each domain. Then, IS practices for seven different municipalities are examined and compared to each other so as to evaluate the current situation. At the final stage, a practical structural framework is developed and presented. As a result of the longitudinal interviews with Sarıyer Municipality, the general framework and a roadmap for municipalities are put forward. While this roadmap can be extended further by other researchers, it can also act as a base for practitioners to develop integrated information systems (IIS) for citizen services offered local governments.

The literature was reviewed about current sustainability factors and a model for developmental m-learning sustainability was established. In light of the model, an investigation was made in order to assess the current status of m-learning initiatives. A survey research is conducted with 36 heads of academic units and m-learning staff from content and design and development units. The paper concludes that some developmental m-learning sustainability factors are critically important. The most of the m-learning initiatives disregard these factors. The study may provide guidelines to assist m-learning initiatives in sustaining an effective mobile learning in terms of design and development.
