As I state in my profile, all my posts except "writers' block" quiz results are friends-only. That is just because life is complicated, and -- as you have probably experienced -- anything you say can and most likely will be used against you eventually. If you ask nicely, I'll be glad to come check you out and most likely add you. I talk about my life but the names have been changed to protect the satisfied!

Writer's Block is back!

There's a lot of nostalgia around old franchises coming back right now. Movies, TV shows, even action figures! What's something from your childhood that you wish would come back? Why?

(This question will remain in place for a few days while Writer's Block is re-launched -- we'll have new questions each weekday starting on Monday!)

Howard Johnson's restaurants - if not familiar, this was a dinerish restaurant that was frequently (but not always) accompanied by the hotel of the same name. It was cheap and reliable, but not fast food.

Pan Am - and with it air travel with some sense of civility where they don't charge you for air and peanuts.

Milkmen who would also bring things like eggs and bananas so you didn't run out. Milk and soda in glass bottles, that you could return and get money back.
