Shenmue
A Promise - Ryo made a promise to tell Nozomi how he feels. This is the story gifted to me this year. I have been making this fic request since my very first Yuletide. This story is (in my mind) five years in the making and I could NOT be happier with how it turned out!! <3

Archie Comics
each new morning in heaven - But what Veronica loves best of all about flying is landing. Veronica Lodge is my favourite character (besides Jughead) in the Archie comics universe, and this is the perfect character study of her and life outside of Riverdale. The characterization is so realistic that Ronnie actually comes to life.

Boy Meets World
New Stranger In Town - A lot can change in over a decade, but the best things in life remain a constant. A fluffy Boy Meets World reunion through the eyes of Minkus. Very sweet and in-line with the tone of the show.

Code Name: Sailor V
She Breaks Just Like a Little Girl - No one seems to remember that she’s thirteen and making all of this up as she goes along. A bittersweet introspective on Minako during her Sailor V days. I love delving into the more angst-ridden aspects of Sailor Senshi life and Sailor V was the first; her time as a solo fighter is rarely explored.

Community
Course History - Some of the classes that Annie, Abed and Troy have taken together at Greendale over the years. My favourite Community trio in the strange-beyond-belief world of Greendale Community College. It's super funny and fits the show perfectly!

Testament to Continuity - "The fact that you and Annie are going out to dinner tonight without me, and to some place that doesn’t serve greasy, fried things in paper bags, is a testament to internal continuity." I have a weakness for Troy/Annie. And continuity!

Dead Poets Society
he doesn't act (he thinks) - Neil takes the other path. A really cool AU take on Neil. It works as a great character study while also being a clever crossover.

Elementary
Three Anniversaries: A Love Story - Not all great love stories are about romance. This to me is the perfect description of Sherlock Holmes and Joan Watson's relationship over the years in a concise, succinct, sweet story.

Happy Endings
How Grant got his Max back - ”Lemme tell you how it all went down. It happened like this, and exactly like this--” Or so Max would say when anyone asked for them whole, and no doubt a-dore-a-bull, story of how he and Grant got back together. How the Grax happened, if you will. This fic is just too adorable and so in-character for Max. Plus, I for one really loved Grant and was so glad to see him back in the story.

Lie Back and Think of Lake Shore Drive (or 8 Ways Max has been Screwed by Chicago) - You'd think throwing up in a CTA trashcan while waiting for the 2am red line train would be the lowest point in Max's life in Chicago. It's not. I find Happy Endings extremely difficult to write for to capture the voice of the characters but this author does so perfectly, it's unbelievable!

Hart of Dixie
You Should Come Around More, Alabama - While George is in New York City, Lemon finds companionship in an unlikely place. (Pre-show, friendship fic unless you squint.) Lately I've been shipping Lemon/Wade and therefore love this fic. Superficiality aside, this story pairs two characters together that the show rarely does in a completely reasonable way within the confines of canon.

Mindy Project
"Taylor Swift Is My Kryptonite" and Other Revelations About Danny Castellano - Between a very public breakup, an awkward bout of office sex, and the holiday season degrading into a general pile of suck, December 2012 is one of the most frustrating months of Mindy's life. Plus, there's the nagging fact that Danny has been acting so weird. A super awkward yet super cute tale of Mindy's life in December following the madness of the winter finale.

when you wish upon a star (or bury some mustard seeds outside your place of work) you look like an insane person (but i'm into that, i guess) - "And when it happens to you, you won't see it coming, either." Or - don't underestimate the power of horoscopes. As a brown girl, I have to vouch for how spot-on the characterization of Mindy and her family life is in this story. Fantastic!

New Year's Eve - Danny and Mindy make a bet over who will deliver the first baby of 2013. Banter, births, babies and maybe a hint of romance? Some fun Mindy/Danny fluff.

New Girl
Fifty in the Jar - Jess and Schmidt really shouldn't have, but they did, and everyone finds out. Chaos ensues. There's something so perfect about Jess and Schmidt hooking up and the everyone being all messed up over it.

Parks and Recreation
talk to your friends, talk to my friends - Ben needs some good, solid advice from a rational human being. Too bad he's in Pawnee. Supreme Ben/Leslie fluff with great cameos from all of our favourite Pawnee friends.

Princess of China - Coldplay (Music Video)
Two Halves of My Heart - Once upon a time, you stole my star I love this video and couldn't be happier that someone wrote beautiful, angsty, perfect fic for it!

The Office (US) RPF
Pals - A decade of friendship, sex, love, and sandwiches - not necessarily in that order - in the lives of Mindy and B.J. I'm not always on-board for RPF but this seriously reads like it could be a missing chapter from Mindy Kaling's autobiography!

Twisted Princess (Disney Fanart)
Seven for a Secret - Seven Happily Ever Afters that weren't. Welcome to the Wonderful World of Disney. This fic is incredible, that's really the only way to describe it. All of the fairytales we know and love with very different outcomes.

You Belong With Me (song)
You Belong With Her - Taylor had been last into the showers and now the girls' locker room is empty. Empty except for the captain of the cheerleading squad, who has her pinned one armed to the lockers and is giving her a look that could melt a hole through lead. I never thought I would ever read fic for this song in my life but most definitely didn't think I would end up sympathizing with the cheerleader. Overall, this fic has some interesting twists and turns and gives a much more realistic look into high school life than the original song ever did.
