There are Star Wars days every year at MGM/Hollywood Studios. Other than that there usually are no characters roaming around (with exception of the Star Tours ride) Don't remember exactly when, but I believe they take place in Spring. You can find past dates on google, I'm sure. =)Congrats to you - Are you auditioning for face or fur?Awesome. Thanks for the insight!I'm just doing a general character performer audition, so I'm auditioning for both. And I'm a theatre major, so I'd really be so very happy to get a role as any sort of character. :) Let me know when you throw your first CP party! =PThere is also the special event known as Star Wars Weekends every year around May and June. There are a ton of extra characters and events all Star Wars related. If you do either the Spring Advantage program (or Fall Advantage too) you will definately catch Star Wars Weekends. My first CP was Spring 2004 and my last day in Florida (move out day, fly home day) was the very first day of Star Wars Weekends, and I was lucky enough to have a coworker take me to SWW and the airport. Cool! Good to know. I'm planning on doing Spring Advantage, so if I have a break from work then, I'll be able to partake of the Star Wars goodness! woo! I did Spring Advantage and went to Star Wars weekend. It was in June :). I was part of the Spring Advantage CP in 2005 and I worked at Star Tours at MGM and it is SOOOOOO busy during Star Wars Weekends. The year I was there was when they only had it for two weeks in May and they made so much money in light saber sales alone, they extended it throughout June as well. So its a huge hit and makes the park super busy. Its a really cool experience though. Aside from Star Wars Weekends (which you've already been told about), there's the Jedi Training, and every now and then a Star Wars character is out for meet & greet, but it's not something I run into often.Star Wars Weekends is the time to get in touch with any of the characters. And I mean ANY of them.I missed actually going to the event this year durng my program, but I did auditon for it. (I went to the nighttime one and they were so picky! /sigh)I really wish I had time to go. Ah well! (If it was like this year, you should be able to audition for te event regardless of your role.) |
