We’re Celia and Alec, and we started DAME because we believe women deserve better. Our products are kind to your body, free from nasty chemicals and single-use plastic - and yes, we smash a few taboos along the way.

The power of organic.

We dangled a synthetic major brand tampon and our organic tampon in water. Ours is the one on the right. Fibres intact, naturally.

Comfort, not compromise.

1.3 million plastic applicators are flushed down UK loos every day. So we launched the world's first reusable tampon applicator on Kickstarter. It's far smoother than any other applicator and has saved over 22 million going to waste.

Since then, we've created a whole range of period care products with the highest sustainability and performance standards at their core. Organic, reusable and toxin-free - we see that as a starting point.

Changing the game.

When a customer sent us a picture of them dancing with their tampon string out, we asked if we could put her on the side of 200 London buses. It was rejected, but we fought hard and it was the first time a tampon string had been used in public advertising, setting a new standard.

For shared bathrooms and workplace facilities, we offer light-weight and sleek dispensers, made from 100% recycled plastic, filled with organic tampons and pads.
