Successful conferencing using the Marratech system (original) (raw)
Conducting and attending conferences using the Marratech system
The Marratech video conferencing system consists of a desktop client, called MarratechPro, and a server that relays information among clients connected to it. Marratech servers are sometimes running on computers with Internet addresses like "emeetingportal.kan-ed.org" (at least partly because the server software was originally called e-MeetingPortal).
This page covers a collection of topics that will help you use the Marratech system to conduct successful "video-enhanced online collaboration." It is intended to be used along with the Marratech documentation atwww.marratech.com, especially the Marratech User Manual in Web formatand PDF format.

Marratech is now also providing a free version of its e-MeetingPortal server called Marratech-Freethat allows up to 5 users to connect together using their Marratech clients. Marratech-Free will run on most PCs, Macs, and Linux systems; it does not require a powerful computer to run. (In fact, it can run along with the Marratech client on most users' computers.)
