BACKGROUND

Pro Career Highlights: Participated in NBA training camp with the Utah Jazz in the fall of 2005. Finished the 2004-05 season in the Spanish LEB2 League with Drac Inca, averaging 8.9 points and 7.3 rebounds in ten games. Started the year with the Portland Reign in the ABA, averaging 9.7 points and 9.1 rebounds in seven games. Played with the Oklahoma Storm in the USBL in the summer of 2004, averaging 8.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in 28 games. Selected out of high school by the New Orleans Hornets in the second round (#48 pick overall) of the 2003 NBA Draft.

High School Highlights: Named a 2003 McDonald's All-American and participated in the McDonald's All-American Game and the EA Sports Roundball Classic. In the McDonald's All-American game, scored 15 points and grabbed ten rebounds in 17 minutes. In the EA Sports Roundball Classic, tallied 12 rebounds, seven points, and three blocked shots.

As a senior at Central Park Christian, averaged 21 points, 14 rebounds, four blocks, and three assists while helping the school win a National Association of Christian Schools title. Spent two academic years at Central Park Christian after spending three years at Shaw High School in Mobile.
