The Partnership for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health - Invest, Deliver, Advance  The Partnership joins together more than 80 partner members to advocate for the lives of every woman, newborn and child. Each year: More than 500,000 women die in pregnancy or childbirth; More than 10 million children die before their fifth birthday – nearly 40% of these in the first month of life; 7 million of these deaths are preventable with proven, cost-effective interventions!  16 June 2006LONDON -- The UK Secretary of State- the Rt.
