The Boulevard of the Allies is one of the main roadway entrances from Downtown into Oakland. Oakland is the region’s premier medical, educational and cultural center as well as a vibrant city neighborhood that is not only a destination; but also serves as a through corridor between downtown and the eastern neighborhoods and suburbs.

The Boulevard of the Allies' Bridges are being redesigned as a ‘Gateway’ with unique bridge features, architectural treatments such as concrete color, wall textures, pilasters and beautiful landscaping, and enhanced pedestrian amenities.
