Céline Lomez - Northern Stars (original) (raw)
Céline Lomez, and her twin sister Liette, started out as a singing act and first enjoyed wide popularity when they were the hit of the Festival du Disque in Québec in 1968. Shortly after that Céline was offered a role in the Denis Héroux film, L'Initiation. Although Céline and Liette stopped performing together that year, Céline released a solo 45 and continued to have a highly successful career as a singer as well as becoming a more accomplished actor. In 1974, she landed one of her most important roles when she was cast in the title role of Gina by director, Denys Arcand. Of special note, the music for The Silent Partner was written by Oscar Peterson and he titled one of his compositions, Theme for Céline. In 2004, Céline published her autobiography, "Pour quatorze dollars elles sont à vous?" |
