Identification System for Power Stations (KKS) - (original) (raw)
The power plant classification system (KKS) is managed and developed by the VGB Working Panel "Reference Designation and Plant Documentation".
This site is to give an initial impression of the aims, possibilities of application and the general structure of KKS. KKS is in close connection to the national and international standards for classification of power plants (DIN 6779, IEC 61346 in particular). Development aims at complete integration into the international standardisation grid.
KKS application offers scope for development to be defined by project-specific indications and finally leading to a "company-specific KKS". Please take new information to the RDS-PP "Reference Designation System for Power Plants (new designation system) from the following link. [Report_WP Reference Designation and Plant Documentation to RDS-PP_2007-06](data/vgborg%5F/DBs-Statistiken/KKS/Report%5FWP Reference Designation and Plant Documentation to RDS-PP%5F2007-06.PDF)
For a plant classification with KKS in general, the KKS-guidelines (VGB B105) and the related application comments (VGB B106) are required. For decoding the existing classification the guideline is probably sufficient.
VGB offers both the guideline and the application comments as prints and/or .pdf format [Shop]. In addition, the KKS key being part of the guideline, is also available in the form of a databank.
Furthermore, a KKS management programme is offered enabling efficient and management of the keys and elaboration of company-specific KKS keys.
