Atherton Racing signs with e.thirteen for 2007 and beyond
Thats right folks. With the pen still wet on the paper we bring you the news that all of the Atherton off spring will be using e.thirteen chain guides and devices for 2007 and beyond.
The deal will see the family running LG1 devices, SRS devices, STS devices, SST devices and bash rings on all of their Commencal Team rigs.

Why do you ride: I grew up riding it's just spiralled from there.
What/who started you racing: Me and my brother Gee used to go to the BMX track for gate practice and we just started racing, then our sister Rach started to come along.
Weakness: I like being at home.

Most important people in your life and career: Everyone I ride with really, I also learn a lot from the other riders around me.
Racing since: BMX since 15, MTB since 17.
Professional since: I was 20.
Best part of racing: Riding the best places in the world.
Hardest part: Eating shit food.
Worst moment in career: Breaking my pelvis at the European Champs in Vars, France. I'd only been there for a day and on my second run I crashed and broke my pelvis. I then had to get a private plane to fly me back to England.
Best moment in career: Being there to see Gee win his first World Cup, that was in Schladming (AUT) 2004.
General career goals: To ride at the top in BMX, 4X and Downhill.
Favourite food: Anything English!
Favourite reading: Lord Of The Rings.

Best idea of having good time: Riding the skate park.
Favourite place to travel to: Canada.
Most respected mountain bike riders: Riders with all round skill, who race and are good at every discipline.

Advice to beginners: Be confident and believe you can be as good as anyone.

Why do you ride? Because I need to win! and, it is the only thing I feel like doing everyday.

What does your training consist of? Everything on a bike, there is no strict regime.
Who is the designated driver? I am always pushing to get more trucking miles under my belt.
Who is the bitch? My bitch!
What was your first real bike? Some roach old BMX, probably a Raleigh.
What/who started you racing: My brother, Dan.
What was your first downhill race and where did you finish? A local SouthWest race in 1998, I sucked.

Best part of racing: Winning your own race
Hardest part: Being away from home, and also racing when you know you're off the pace.
Worst moment in career: When I found out that prize money at World Cup races was awarded to the top 15 places, and I hadn't collected it all year.
Best moment in career: Winning the 2003 Junior European Championships.
General career goals: To be the fastest DH mountain biker.
Who do you admire most in racing and why? I have a lot of respect for anyone who races at the highest level, but i have never had any heroes
Do you enjoy the World Cup circuit? Not really
What things do you miss whilst you are on the road? The riding at home, my mates, girlfriend and the ghetto.
What are your favourite riding spots? Local DH tracks, skateparks in the UK, skatepark in our barn and trails in the garden.
How do you rate this years bike over the one you used last year? I think the Giant we are riding this year suits the fast WC courses better, it takes a lot more hits and corners better.
What extra input does your mechanic give to your riding? Someone to take the shit from me!
Do you walk the course together? Yes
What is the worst injury you have had? Tearing my intercostal muscles was the most painful
SPD's or flat pedals? SPD's for racing, flats for BMX
Any superstitions? If I turbo train, I crash... I hope this is just a superstition.

Advice to beginners: Concentrate on riding well instead of trying to go fast.

Why do you ride:For the sense of achievement when I do well.
What/who started you racing: My brother Dan. If it weren't for him, none of this would be happening.
Weakness: My head.

Racing since: BMX since I was 8, MTB since 11.
Professional since: 2004.
Best part of racing: Going to nice places.
Hardest part: Getting up early.
Worst moment in career: Breaking my collarbone at the 2004 Euros. It was the worst crash I've had, really fast, and that put me out of the running and for the rest of the season. I had laser surgery but it still wasn't properly mended for the Worlds in Les Gets.
Best moment in career: Winning a silver medal at the Junior Worlds.
General career goals: To be respected as a rider, not just as a female rider.
Favourite food: Chocolate and Mum's tuna and sweet-corn bake.
Favourite reading: Kung-fu books for mind control.

Best idea of having good time: Riding the skate park with my brothers.
Favourite place to travel to: The Swiss Alps because they are just so beautiful to be in, and Europe is easier to travel in than anywhere else in the world, including the UK!
