The Chester Cycle
The following texts were prepared by comparing the 1892 Deimling and Matthews edition of The Chester Mystery Cycle with the 1974 Lumiansky and Mills Edition. Though the play numbers have been altered between 16 and 25 (despite the fact that 16 and 17 are largely redundant), the play order follows Lumiansky and Mills, as do most of the emendations. This collection does not yet include the variant plays included in the appendices of Lumiansky and Mills. The plays are here presented in their entirety, but the process is not complete. As this electronic edition progresses, the texts presented here will be scrutinized in relationship to the eight extant mss.
