In his second season as an assistant coach, Don Tobin brings a wealth of coaching and playing experience. A former professional player, Tobin currently serves as the Director of Coaching and Training at the Dunedin Stirling Soccer Club. He has been in charge of the club since 1995.
His coaching career also includes a stint with the Memphis Rogues from 1990-91. He was also a player/assistant coach for the four-time champions of the AISA, Canton Invaders from 1983-87.
Don's playing career began as a schoolboy in England, where he progressed through the levels from apprentice to professional player in the English Premier League. Don's professional career continued in England and Ireland, and then continued in the United States where he concluded his career with the Tampa Bay Rowdies (1987-89) and the Orlando Lions (1992-93).
After moving to the U.S., Don played for many American leagues, several times being named most valuable player and being named to a number of all-star teams.
