Moderator: Hey all, we are about to get started with The Metz so send in your questions now!
Mike Metzger: Hi, thanks for showing up. Let's get this started!
Henke (sweden): What did you think when you landed your first backflip?
Mike Metzger: It felt like when I was on my bicycle. A lot bigger though and a lot more time in the air.
Andrew (England): Metz!! Awesome run yesterday! Congrats on the gold!! I was just wondering what was going through your mind as you landed the 1st flip and lined up and went for the 2nd??
Mike Metzger: After I landed the first, I knew I had the second. I knew I was gonna pull it. I was planning on doing it in practice but I figured I would wait till the finals.
MaC dAdDy* Waterloo Wis: Do you wish you would have started sooner that you did? and do you wish you could do other stuff as well as you can moto?
Mike Metzger: I started at 3 years old and as far as trying other things in life, I already have.
Amsterdam: Mike , It seems that you have them backflips pretty much dailed....are you working on variations yet?
Mike Metzger: I'm doing backflip no-footers and one-handers right now.
DIFNUTZ (FUC): Yo Metz, that double back you pulled yesterday was ill! Congrats on winning FMX gold. What was going through your head when you approached the second jump? Did you shift in the air?
Mike Metzger: I shift in the middle of my rotation in the first jump so that when I land I clutch hit and get ready for the next jump.
Fatboy, Seattle: Hey Metz, what's up with the name Fritz?
Mike Metzger: That's my grandpas name, my Dad's middle name and my middle name so I had to name the trick that.
HellsBells (Australia): Hey Mike, nice job wining X Games Gold! So what do you call the backflip? I've heard "The Godfather" and the "Flying Fritz" - which one is it and what does it mean?
Mike Metzger: The Godfather is what they call me and the Fritz is the flip over a 45-foot gap.
Frank Rizzo (Philly): I saw your double fritz live on the raw video. It was the most gnarly thing! On the second flip, how did you get the speed? Also, it looked like you had to throw the bike out in front of you on the second one. How much changes with the distance?
Mike Metzger: I come off the lip with a slower rotation on the 80-footer.
Justin, Redwood City CA: Hey Mike can you talk about your bike do you run anything special to pull backflips?
Mike Metzger: I use Race-tech suspension for freestyle and my bike is pretty much stock.
Travis -Castaic: When did u first think about doing the backflip? Did you talk to someone about it or did you just do it on your own?
Mike Metzger: Me and alot of the Freestyle guys started talking about backflips in '97.
Philly Blunts (Philly): Any chance of the Fritz squared (two flips in the air)?
Mike Metzger: Yeah, possibly for a world record. I don't see any other freestyle guys going for it.
Go Big, Austin TX: Hey Metz, what did you do to get prepped for the backflip? I heard you used a bmx bike. Is that true?
Mike Metzger: I landed 12 in a row at Point X camp on my bicycle the day before I pulled it at my house.
will hart: Metz u rule setting the distance mark on your flips hard core man u gotta through them pics n updates on your site.
Mike Metzger: Thanks. I need someone to update my site for me. I'm not really a computer guy. I ride motorcycles, that's what I do.
TexasEm: How do you feel about female motocross riders? Do you think they can do everything that the guys can? or even better?
Mike Metzger: Girls can do whatever they put their minds to. Doesn't matter if you have boobs or not.
Keenan K. (Ontario, Canada): Hey Metz!! How do you make the back flip look so easy? You don't seem to have to pull back very hard to start your rotation ala Cary Hart and Caleb Wyatt.
Mike Metzger: I know what my motorcycle can do.
DumpTruck (Boulder, CO): Hey Metz! You kill it on the dirt bikes bro... What's up with your shiny teeth? Are you all capped and iced?
Mike Metzger: All capped and iced. 8 teeth, 24-carat.
Swingset (Netherlands): Hey Mike, you rule man! Where is your favorite place to ride?
Mike Metzger: Paradise Ranch, where I live.
Travis-Castaic: Did the flip take a lot of physical and mental prepartation?
Mike Metzger: Doing the backflip is all mental preparation, after you know how a 250cc motorcycle works.
Marcus (Denmark, Europe): Congratulations! You're great! Who do you consider the rider who pulled the firstflip? Cuz alot of guys don't give Carey the respect he deserves, i think.
Mike Metzger: To be honest. Carey didn't ride away from the backflip. I feel that Bob Kohl is the first guy to ever pull it on a motorcycle and ride away.
Rock Solid, New York: I love FMX but I don't ride. If you had to pick another sport other than motocross, what would it be?
Mike Metzger: I would be road racing.
Micah - Seattle: Hey Mike nice work on the backflip, what's next... do you think a barrel roll is possible?
Mike Metzger: Anything is possible, you just have to make it work.
Kary,Madison: Mike congratulations on the gold.My question is were you a little timid on going for the flip the first time you did it after seeing Hart's wicked wreck at last year's Games?
Mike Metzger: Definitely Carey Hart scared everyone including myself.
M/M TROOP (new zealand): Hey metz, that back to back flip was SICK!! now that you have done the backflip, will you try a foward flip?
Mike Metzger: Definitely not.
matte (sweden): When will you set up to do a body varial??
Mike Metzger: When the time feels right.
Westfield, NJ: How long did it take you to learn the backflip?
Mike Metzger: The first time I tried a backflip was last year at the X Games in Step-up. I've been working on it since then.
CommonCommotion (Fairbanks, AK): Mike Metzger you rule man! Snowboarding and Moto both go big... Do you ever get out on the snow?
Mike Metzger: I used to snowboard, but I don't really have an interest in it anymore.
DirtDoctor (Neverland Ranch, CA): Hey Mike, riding Moto is gnar... What is your worst injury?
Mike Metzger: Breaking both my femurs, something Carey Hart and I share in common.
Jarrett, Detroit: I saw your two backflips online and read about your backflips at the gravity games. How were the courses different and which was better?
Mike Metzger: The course at X Games was a whole hell of a lot bigger and better. Suiting my style. The course couldn't have been better.
Street Skater (New Windsor, NY): How did u get started in fmx and what advice would u give to someone who wants to start?
Mike Metzger: First learn how your bike works by going to a local track. Then take baby steps at jumping. Start by doing one-handers and one-footers and then move up.
Sarah(springfield,il): Hey Mike, wats up? What goes through your head before you do a run? Do you have planned what your gonna do, or do you just do what feels right?
Mike Metzger: Before my run I pray and then I think about the first two or three tricks to start off the run. From there I just let my routine flow.
Travis-Castaic: What do u think you might do in the fmx big air contest.Backflip?
Mike Metzger: The no-footer backflip to possibly a no-hander lander. And my new trick, the Disco Inferno.
Michael, Plymouth: Dude! You are awesome! I don't get how you can do all that extreme stuff (basically the Backflip!) If you could do one trick for a crowd of people, what would it be??
Mike Metzger: Backflip 360
Marisa (Westfield, NJ): Did you ever get nervous when you were gonna attempt a new or hard trick?
Mike Metzger: Before every run and attempting new tricks the buildup of nerves is routine. That is what you drive off of.
Nick(New Albany): Is that you on EA Sports Big's game "Freekstyle"?
Mike Metzger: Yep, that's me, the freak.
paul (nz): If Travis hadn't injured himself do you think he could have taken gold by going by how he rode at Gravity?
Mike Metzger: I really wish I had a chance to compete against him at the X Games. My riding speaks for itself.
Marcus (Denmark, Europe): It seems like alot of riders only ride ramps and straight jumps, but you almost never see freeriding, like in the good old Crusty 1-2-3 days. Do you still freeride natural terrain?
Mike Metzger: I try to travel and ride as much open terrain as possible. Riding natural terrain makes you a better rider on the freestlye course.
m/m: Are you in the Metal Mulisha?
Mike Metzger: Yeah, since the beginning.
Tyson (Boulder CO): The backflips are super burly. Have you ever done anything nearly as big? What?
Mike Metzger: Backflips are the biggest things I have done to date.
Marisa (Westfield, NJ): Did you fall a lot when learning the backflip?
Mike Metzger: Out of 100 attempts I have only fallen 5 times. First time I fell I under-rotated and got knocked out. The other four I over-rotated onto my back.
luis(bordeaux): Hi mike, I don't ride FMX, but do tou think 720 will be possible (any day)? And congratulations for the gold!
Mike Metzger: Let's start with 360s first.
Travis-Castaic: Are you going to ride for a lot longer. I sure hope so. You're the ultimate innovator. I think I speak for everyone when I say that u will go down in history as one of the best dirtbikers that ever lived.
Mike Metzger: My plans are to continure riding as long as my body allows me.
Cheese Steak (Philly): Who will be your biggest competitor for big air? Is anyone else even thinking about the flip?
Mike Metzger: My biggest competition right now is myself.
Marcus ( Denmark, Europe): It seems like alot of the "old boys" of fmx, like you, Hart, Cinq and Linkogle, aren't the top riders anymore. I think it's really cool that you, after being the Godfather of fmx, can still compete on the highest level. But do you think that it's harder to become one of the top guys now, then it was four years ago?
Mike Metzger: The guys who started it will always be at the forefront of the sport. Just like Tony Hawk in skateboarding.
Travis-Castaic: Do u think deegan will pull the flip?
Mike Metzger: He tried four of them before X Games without any success, bruising his upper arm. One day I think he'll nail it.
GW - Seattle : What is your biggest distance jump and is it on film somewhere we can see it?
Mike Metzger: Biggest distance is 176 feet when I was riding with Carey Hart in Vegas for one of the Fox movies.
GREG: Where is the shortcut at the GNOME track in Freekstyle?
Mike Metzger: I've only watched people play it. I'm not a video game guy.
MotoMan (Pomona, CA): I read you started out backflipping on a ramp. Not a dirt jump like Carey. What make you think you could do it off a ramp. Now you do it off both, right? Do you feel just as comfortable off of either now?
Mike Metzger: I feel comfortable doing it off of anything. I feel doing it off a ramp is better for me after talking to TJ Lavin about it.
Nick(New Albany): Do you have your own website?
Mike Metzger: I do have my own website. It's www.metzmoto.com. It hasn't been updated in awhile. You can purchase Metzger genuine clothing at skinindustries.com
sean john : Do you like riding in competitions or filming better
Mike Metzger: Both are completely different. I enjoy doing both with my friends who are my competition.
Marcus ( Denmark, Europe): As fast as fmx tricks are evolving, and bigger jumps and less protective gear, do you think fmx will evolve to the point where riders could die every time they jump?
Mike Metzger: Riders are at risk no matter where they are riding and what kind of motorcycle they are on. Dying is a risk we take everyday, whether we are riding or not.
Amanda(Florida): Hey Mike, would you ever consider leaving FMX to race in the AMA supercross/motocross? By the way congrads on the gold.
Mike Metzger: After breaking my teeth out this year in Supercross, I decided jumping by myself is a lot easier on my body. In the future I do plan on racing more whether it is road racing, Supercross or desert. I love to race.
Marc(Barcelona): Do you thing you would be able to do a double backflip or a 360 before the next X Games?
Mike Metzger: Depending on how healthy I can keep myself. I feel I have a good chance.
Mac Daddy Waterloo: What is your fave X Games sport can't be moto x) and my last name is fritz!!!
Mike Metzger: BMX dirt.
Danielle (Hou): Who are your fav. Atheletes?
Mike Metzger: Mat Hoffman, Dave Mirra, Allen Cooke, Tony Hawk, Jeremy McGrath, Ricky Johnson, Jean Michele Bayle and a whole lot more guys who know what they are doing.
crackman: Do you like to shoot up heroin?
Mike Metzger: No, heroin is not good for you.
Travis-Castaic: Does being a dad ever make you worry about if You got hurt or even worse, what would happen to your wife and kid?
Mike Metzger: I have no fear of dying. When it is my time to go, they good Lord will take me. If I happen to go before my wife and kids. I believe that God will take care of them.
M.Garcia(Catalonia): Did you get surprised with the Red Bull Fighters results? The Spanish judges are helping so much Edgar Torronterras he wouldn't do anything outside of Spain. What do you think?
Mike Metzger: I definietly feel that Clifford Adoptante kicked his ass. But if ET didn't win there could have been a 25,000 person riot.
Travis Mason, Ottawa: Does your wife support you fully no matter what tricks you decide to pull?
Mike Metzger: My wife has my back.
Paco Mermela(Gallifa): If the new generation of riders and the aussies take the first riders like you out of the competition, you thing you have any future on bmx or any other sport? Congratulantions for the Gold , now go for the Big Air
Mike Metzger: I plan on being invovled with Freestyle for the rest of my life. Whether I race again or basket weave.
Blinky, Pueblo, CO: Yo Mike, I was just watching the prelims and dude u were f***in awesome!!! How Did it feel when u were completely upside down?
Mike Metzger: Being upside down on my bike is the best feeling.
Mac daddy waterloo wis: Do you have tips from me to lose my fear of falling?
Mike Metzger: If you fear falling, get a tricycle.
metzger style: Which pro rider is your best buddy?
Mike Metzger: I ride with all of them. And having a family you don't have time to hang out with best buddies.
Benito Camela(Mexico): What's your favorite music group?
Mike Metzger: The Kottonmouth Kings
Ziffiroth: Has anyone ever attempted to do a 360 yet? Are you still thinking of how to do one, or are you going to wait before you strive for "the new grail"
Mike Metzger: As far as I know, no one has completed the 360. I plan on making it happen though.
Greg - Canton, MI: Hey Metzger.... My son is looking forward to being at least half as good as you are! He would like to know where you confidence to be so daring comes from.
Mike Metzger: 23 years of riding.
Eric Rowland : Do you think its possible to do a backflip flair?
Mike Metzger: Yeah, I'm building a jump back home to start practicing them.
BmX_Dirt(LA): Its true that you were a really good student?
Mike Metzger: I had straight A's until I was a senior. That was just part of growing up with my parents. Bad grades, no bikes.
Neil (Ontario, Canada): Do you think sometime in the near future every rider will have to have access to a foam pit or equivalent in order to keep up with the progression of the sport without injuring themselves trying crazy new things? And back in the day, did you ever think some of the things that are being done now would be done?
Mike Metzger: I don't really feel that a foam pit is necessary. If you can mentally picture yourself doing it then you have it done.
Charlie (catalonia): What do you think of ET showing up with some excuse everytime he is invited to America for a competition?
Mike Metzger: I think he is a pu$$y, the Mulisha will kill him.
Jonathan (canada): Is it true Mike Jones flipped the judges off on every jump? Why did he? And don't you agree that he was acting like a little cry baby?
Mike Metzger: No, he gave them thumbs up because he was pissed off at the judges after his first qualifying round.
Travis Mason, Ottawa: Who was your biggest influence growing up?
Mike Metzger: My dad and mom.
Tomi (dayton): When you first started out... was your family against you doing freestyle?
Mike Metzger: My dad would rather see me race. But now he is used to it and understands.
Marcus (Denmark, Europe): I was watching crusty 7 with some of my brothers friends (not riders), who all where sure that the fmx riders where on drugs. Do alot of riders take drugs or smoke somthing to be so daring? (Please don't answer: There's as much drugs in fmx as anywhere) How old are you? Thanx.
Mike Metzger: (Good Answer) I'm 26.
Nicholas: What's your fav. movie and tv show?
Mike Metzger: Winners Take All is my favorite movie. In my household we don't watch television. It's bad for you.
Palomino(Snt. Feliu de Buixelleu): Who is the best FmX rider instead of you?
Mike Metzger: I really feel that Kenny Bartram is the most dedicated.
Sherri, Dover DE: My 3 year old loves watching you!! He always tells me he wants to "do tricks", and "i want to crash too, Mommy!". I love to watch too, and want to give him the option to pursue this sport.....BUT where do I start? Is it necessary to start on a bicycle first, or just start out on a motorbike?
Mike Metzger: Don't be afraid to get him started on both. It never hurts for a child to learn as much as possible.
Emily (Maple Grove, MN): When you're in the air doing the backflip, and you're upside down, what is the one thing you are thinking?
Mike Metzger: Spotting the landing.
Ryan: What's it like being married and bein a pro freestyle champion metz
Mike Metzger: The best. It's everything I wanted since I was 16. I always wanted to be a family man. My wife and kids keep my head on straight.
Tina - Michigan: Mike, besides fmx what do you do for fun?
Mike Metzger: I enjoy painting and all kinds of art work.
Marcus ( Denmark, Europe): All us fans sit everyday and dream about just riding with you for 1 day. Do you look down on us and kind of say: "Well they're just fans." Becouse we look up to you? Or do you think it's great that we support you and enjoy wathing you?
Mike Metzger: I enjoy all of the support from all of my fans. We wouldn't have a sport if it wasn't for you.
Nick: Whats your fav. food and restraunt?
Mike Metzger: McDonald's.
Sherri Again! Dover: Do you send autographs through the mail at all??
Mike Metzger: No, I am always on the road.
jonny guns: What kind of vehichle(s) do you have
Mike Metzger: I'm a Dodge truck man. I have a Ram 1500 Slammed on bags...20s in the front and 22s in the real. All on Nitrous.
Nick ( Sacramento): Sup Metz, I just started freestyle with my friend Corey Watkins and we're getting pretty good, I guess. I am only 13 years old and my first and only bike is a 99' Husqvarna CR125. I really want a ramp, so I can get better. I was wondering if you give out lessons that I might be able to afford Cuz you are my favriote rider, my idol, I get most of my influence from your Ballzee style. My birthday is Sept 1st, it would be my dream to hang out or ride with you!!!!
Mike Metzger: Sorry, right now I am too busy to work on school. In the future though that is part of my plans. Help people to do the right thing.
Martin (Stockholm): Metz do you think it would be good to put griptape on the forks when practicing Cliffhangers? I'm thinkin of cuttin' my numberplate like you described in the latest MXMACHINE mag.
Mike Metzger: I definietly think cutting the plate down is a must for Cliffhangers. Grip tape is up to the person though.
Andrew (England): Did it worry you seeing Kenny bail on his flip?
Mike Metzger: I was bummed seeing him get hurt. I don't want to see anyone get hurt.
sl/germany: Is it right that you are going to ride at the ifmxf worldcup in germany in november?
Mike Metzger: Yes, I'll be there. I'm looking forward to riding in Germany.
Bruce D. MA: What bike do you ride?
Mike Metzger: 2002 Honda CR 250. The best bike I have ever ridden.
Bruce D. MA: Hey Mike I'm a big fan of yours, anyway, Did you ever bmx and if so did you love it?
Mike Metzger: I BMX for fun. I ride a bulldog bicycle.
Sherri, Dover: OK....thanks.....We will be excited to take our son to see the games tomorrow! Maybe we will get lucky and catch an autograph there! Watching you do the "Double Fritz" for the first time brought tears of joy to my eyes.....I was so happy for you, your wife, your little, and your one on the way!
Mike Metzger: Thanks for all of the love!
Martin (Stockholm): I think i need to buy a 250 soon, my yz 125 is to slow for my short runway to my ramp, Which brand do you recommend (since you've ridden em' all!)
Mike Metzger: Honda. The Cr 250. Ask Travis Pastrana what gear he has to do Backflips in and why. Why can I go just as fast in first gear?
matte (sweden): Could you give a really good tip for all of us amateurs??
Mike Metzger: Don't be scared to get hurt. Take baby steps.
Ryan Michaels: Do You have messenger dude
Mike Metzger: orders@metzgermotorsports.com. My wife answers it sometimes. On rare occasions. We are super busy right now.
Nick (Sacramento): Hey man are you going to be at the Moto X comp. in San Francisco on Sept 1st, maybe I could get an autograph from you? Or a picture! Sorry about asking you for the lessons I know your really busy, and know since you got a family.
Mike Metzger: Yeah, I'll be there riding with everyone in the Mulisha.
Martin (Stockholm): Do you still have time to reply to the emails fans are sending you? A year ago before gravity i was emailing alot with you...but after gravity i never heard from you again. I understand if your to busy man no problem.
Mike Metzger: I don't answer emails anymore. Sorry, that's not my deal.
Scott Mathews - Kingsport: I can do a lot of tricks on my Dirtbike and can do a backflip on ground on my feet.I wondered what kinda ramp you did your first back on and how long it took you to get it right. Do you think it takes a pro to do a backflip on a dirtbike?
Mike Metzger: I definietly feel that someone with professional motocycle ablitliy has a better chance at landing a backflip than someone who doesn't.
Marcus ( Denmark, Europe): Do you ride XR 50's? If yes, then do you think it's a good idea to buy one, if i can't ride "real" dirtbike?
Mike Metzger: I do ride XR 50s for freestyle practice. My 50 is set-up like my 250.
Martin (Stockholm): Okay! Well now for a question thats been bugging me for awhile, Since you ride with Deegan and seem to be his friend, Whats Up with all the nazie Crap ive seen? ive seen pics of Deegan doing hails and stuff, posin infront of a swatstikka and various type of stuff...What's the deal?
Mike Metzger: Image is everything. And in Deegan's case, he doesn't mind messing with a few people. Yeah, he hangs out with a few skinheads and loves to fight. That's just what he likes to do. I love the guy.
Marc(BCN): What is the sickest trick you thing you could combine with the backflip?
Mike Metzger: The double can backflip.
mike I: Yo Godfather. You gonna do the backflip in the big air show? I will be there. I am leaving tonight and I'm dying to see it live.
Mike Metzger: Monday is Big Air and I have a few things in story for everyone. The Disco Inferno and no-footer backflip to no-hander lander.
Savvy (Philly): I just saw your 50cc smith grind in MXMachine Magazine... How long have you been grinding your bike, and how far do you think this new style will go?
Mike Metzger: I have been doing frame grinds for the last couple months and now we are doing double peg grinds on our CR 250s. In my backyard I have a full sub-box for grinding. I am hoping that next year we will be doing grinds in competitions.
jriggs(new bern): Do you ever hit up any races anymore?
Mike Metzger: A week before Gravity Game I did a Super TT race at El Cajon Raceway where I finished 6th place on a Vertamati. But I really didn't feel comfortable on the bike. I plan on racing more when my freestyle schedule allows me too.
mike metzger is gay: your gay?
Mike Metzger: No, I am not gay.
Martin (Stockholm): Do you think that Myles Richmond will get far in his career? (He is my buddy)
Mike Metzger: I feel that Myles is one of the best up and coming young kids.
Luis (bordeaux): Do you think it exist a good reconversion for olded pro riders, when they stop riding?
Mike Metzger: They will either be involved with the industry or continue to race Super TT.
ratboy(burligton): Why do some people in your sport hate freestyle bmxers when all your your tricks are influenced by it?
Mike Metzger: Some people think they are just too hardcore. Too hardcore to be friendly.
Andrew (England): Metz, how comes you dont ride the IFMA series? or VTC for that matter?
Mike Metzger: I don't ride the IFMA series because I have a problem with the people who run it. They will not let me run the Vans Triple Crown becasue I won't commit to the IFMA series. Even though I am a past champion (98,99) I am supposed to be able to ride by the rules in the book. They are trying to make me commit to something I don't want to do. I am not going to perform for $1800 to win. That's a joke.
mike metzger is gay: i think you are, you are a motocrosser?
Mike Metzger: I think you are a gay freak, and I don't even know you. Go somewhere else queer boy.
derek (burlington): I think fmx is going to far. It's taking alot away from bmxing, Like you said earlier now you are learning grinds,Why not just doing them on a bmx?
Mike Metzger: Progression. I practice on my BMX bike.
Ben Davis (Christchurch NZ): Hey Mike, I've heard that 360's and 360 flips are your next big ground to cross, how long do you think its going to take you to get both of those dialed??
Mike Metzger: Only time will tell.
mike metzger is gay: Wanna fight? I don't know you either, but it makes thing more interesting doesn't it.
Mike Metzger: You want to tell me who you are?
Neil: As a pro rider I'm sure you ride all the time.. when you get hurt, all of a sudden you can't ride for a long time. Is it hard to keep motivated when you're out with a serious injury?
Mike Metzger: Injuries always bring down your confidence. As soon as I feel comfortable to ride again, I start to rebuild my confidence.
Martin (Stockholm): Will you ghostride if (when) you win the Big Air comp?
Mike Metzger: No, I don't ghostride my CR 250s.
Trevor (Canada): What do you think of Frezno Smooth are you prowd of your acting in that movie...personally i thought it was great!
Mike Metzger: Thanks, I am considering acting in the future.
mike metzger is gay: It doesn't matter who I am. Why do you want to know who I am so badley, do you want to rape me?
Mike Metzger: ok...we're done talking to you. You're an idiot. You remind me of Larry Linkogle.
cnm (texas): Sup metz. your my favourite fmx rider. that guy who says your gay is a idiot. your the best. how would you feel if your children said they wanted to be like you?
Mike Metzger: My kids will do what ever they want to do.
Martin (Stockholm): Will you develop Metzger Grafix for the 02 and 03 bikes?
Mike Metzger: send questions on graphics to skinindustries.com
Bina (DC): How long have you been riding FMX? Any advice for up and coming female mx-ers? It's a hard world to get into, and any advice would be welcome! congrats on the gold and your new baby!
Mike Metzger: I just got done watching the girls street skating and I was amazed. Any girl who has the sack and the will to freestyle, you go girl! If my daughter Michaela wants to freestyle then that's what she'll do.
Mike Metzger: Ok, thanks for sending in your questions. once again I would like to thank my sponsors: Ecko Unlimited, Team Escondido Cycle Center, EA Sports, Oakley, Alpinestars, VP Fuels, Point X Camp, IMS Pro Series, Metal Mulisha, JRs MX Supply, Fuel Gloves, Michelin Tires, and everyone who supported me for the gold.
Peace..Love and wreck everything! - Metz
