Summer 2010 Program Session Dates
The Chicago Park District offers programs for all ages from children and teens to adults and seniors. In addition to after-school programs, fitness and recreational opportunities, such as club sports, camps and individual classes, are offered.
- Program information available for viewing online: Monday, April 5
- Online registration begins: Monday, April 19 at 9am
- In-person registration begins: Saturday, April 24
- Online registration ends: Monday, May 31
- Program session runs the weeks of: Monday, June 14 - Sunday, August22
- The standard day camp session runs June 28 - August 6
After programs have begun, you can still register in-person at the parks, if spots are still available.
Art Classes
Repeats every week every Tuesday until Tue Jun 15 2010 .
Tuesday, May 4, 2010 - 4:00pm - 5:00pm
This Spring session the children will draw, paint and make prints on the subject of human figure and portraiture. The children will cultivate their ability to express themselves, improve knowledge of human anatomy, and continue to refine their mixed media skills.
Summer Camp Scholarships
Need Financial Assistance for Summer Camp?
Thanks to a grant from Parkways Foundation, the nonprofit arm of the Chicago Park District, eligible Chicago families can receive scholarships for the 2010 summer day camp program.
You can apply for a scholarship on Thursday, March 18, from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. or Saturday, March 20, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., at one of nine designated parks throughout the city. Go here for a list of park locations. Applicants must bring documents showing proof of income and proof of Chicago residency, as listed below.
