London Borough of Bromley | Jubilee Country Park Local Nature Reserve (original) (raw)
62 acres of wildflower meadows, hedgerows and semi-natural ancient woodland to explore.
Details
Jubilee Country Park forms part of a wildlife corridor linking to open countryside via Petts Wood and Scadbury Park Local Nature Reserve (LNR) along the London LOOP.
Jubilee is a Local Nature Reserve and a Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation Grade II, enjoying the support of local environmental groups as well as Natural England and the Forestry Commission. There are chalk meadows and woodlands that support a variety of wildlife including species that are rare in London.
The Friends group meets most Mondays to undertake practical conservation work and improvements within the park. They have four meetings a year and also run guided walks, promotional events and take part in wildlife surveys.
Jubilee Country Park LNR is managed by Bromley Countryside and Parks Service based at High Elms Country Park.
