Actes and Monuments of Matters Most Speciall and Memorable
Welcome to the second edition of Foxe's Book of Martyrs Variorum Edition Online (version 1.1 - summer 2006).
- The edition also uses Unicode entity references to display sections of text written in ancient polytonic Greek. You need Windows 2000 or above in order to view the Greek font correctly. If you have Windows 95/98/Me or a Macintosh, please read the specific instructions on Unicode support in the help section.
- This version of the edition includes two additional books from the 1576 edition. The navigation of the online edition has been completely rewritten and there have been a number of additional fixes made to the structure and content of the edition.
In order to test the Unicode setup of your browser, look at the following line of text:
δοκιμαζέτω δὲ ἄνθρωπος ἑαυτὸν
And the following symbols:
"Cross of Jersalem": ☩
If square boxes, question marks or other symbols are displayed you do not have full Unicode support. Please refer to the online help for assistance in displaying the full range of characters.
