"Ahla Saut – Ghaneeha!" Finale Rocks Ramallah
Congratulations to Aseel Agha, this year’s Ahla Saut – Ghaneeha! Winner! The July 21 finale, held in the Al-Kasaba Theatre in Ramallah, featured performances by all 8 finalists. The competition was sponsored by the U.S. Consulate General in Jerusalem.
The Quartet strongly urges those wishing to deliver goods to Gaza to do so through established channels.

African-American activist promotes Muslim culture
Back in 2000, Okolo Rashid had an activist moment — one of many she’s had in her life as a community organizer. Inspired by her Muslim faith, Rashid organized an exhibition in Jackson, Mississippi about Muslim culture in the Iberian Peninsula. More than a year later, Rashid’s exhibition turned into the International Museum of Muslim Cultures, the first museum in the United States dedicated to educating Americans about Muslim culture. Today, she is the museum’s executive director.
