GiSTEQ PhotoTrackr Plus is a photo geotagging solution that is created specifically for Nikon digital SLR cameras. Professional photographers can use PhotoTrackr Plus to geotag their JPEGs or RAW photos as they shoot. PhotoTrackr Plus brings convenience to the geotagging process and will not affect your photo processing workflow. Adding PhotoTrackr Plus to your camera is the easiest way to turn your DSLR into a GPS camera.

TIPS: Photo Geotagging is the process of adding geographical identification metadata to photographs. These data usually consist of latitude and longitude coordinates, as well as altitude, and place names. Photo Geocoding refers to the process of adding non-coordinate based geographical identifiers, such as a street address, to the photographs.

Problems Possible Reasons Methods
Some photos don't have GPS data When Auto Meter is off, camera will not receive GPS data from GPS device Auto Meter Off "may prevent GPS data from being recorded if the shutter-release button is pressed all the way down without pausing." as described in the camera's manual. When turning on the camera from "off" or "sleep model", press the shutter-release button half-way down with a pause to allow GPS data be written into the photo.
Paring time is longer than 5 seconds Bluetooth GPS receiver is not being turned on first.(For some Bluetooth GPS receivers, Bluetooth starts working 5 seconds after you turn it on) Turn on GPS receiver first, and wait for about 2 minutes then turn on the camera.
Some time GPS accuracy not as precise GPS reception is low. Natural environment is obstructing the satellite signal. Keep GPS in thin bag or hang it outside with a strap for better satellite acquisition.
GPS icon in the camera display keeps flashing GPS reception not available. Take the device outdoor and make sure it can see the sky. Some times it will take up to 5 minutes to get a satellite fix. When satellite is fix, the GPS receiver's RED LED will flash.
I can't see any GPS icon after plugging in the adapter and turning on the GPS Bluetooth pairing issue. Unplug the device from the camera and turn off the GPS receiver. Turn on the GPS receiver first, then plug in the adapter and turn it on. If the GPS icon is still not available after 2-3 minutes, repeat the process.
