The Octonauts follows an underwater exploring crew made up of stylised animals, a team who live in an undersea base called 'The Octopod', from where they go on undersea adventures with the help of a fleet of other aquatic vehicles.
The characters include: Captain Barnacles the Polar Bear, Lieutenant Kwazii the Cat, Medic Peso the Penguin, IT Officer and Photographer Dashi the Dog, Scientist Shellington the Sea Otter, Engineer Tweak the Rabbit, Oceanographer Professor Inkling the Dumbo Octopus and Ship's Cook and Gardener Tunip the Vegimal (Half animal, half vegetable)
