MDG Centre Leaders
Providing support for the MVP and national MDG-focused development plans, the MDG Centres bring together teams of experts specializing in the technical, political, and institutional underpinnings of rural development.
The two MDG Centres—one in Bamako, Mali, for West and Central Africa, and one in Nairobi, Kenya, for East and Southern Africa—are staffed by sector specialists and headed by regional directors—Dr. Belay Begashaw at MDG East and Dr. Amadou Niang at MDG West.

From managing operations to cultivating partnerships to serving as sector specialists, this committed group of individuals—most of whom are local to the region in which they work—strives every day to fulfill the mission of Millennium Promise.
Board of Directors
The Millennium Promise Global Board brings together a group of highly talented and experienced leaders from the private, public, and philanthropic sectors. Providing financial and strategic oversight, each director brings a particular expertise to the team, and all share great passion for our mission. Together they represent the organizational goals to innovate and incubate great ideas, take calculated risks, and be a leader in the field of international development.
MDG Global Leaders
Millennium Promise proudly collaborates with a growing team of MDG Global Leaders including fashion icons Tommy Hilfiger and Renzo Rosso, and music legend Youssou NDour. Each of these extraordinary partners brings his energy, expertise, and spirit of innovation to our organization. In their roles as MDG Global Leaders, they will continue to educate and encourage other leaders and the general public to join them in the movement to end extreme poverty and achieve the Millennium Development Goals.
